I've had the family round this afternoon, boy you lot have been chunnering away haven't you? I too love watching

the old stuff from the beginning right up to the present. I love to see the change in him and his confidence growing through the years. :cheer: I also love to read the media and press archives on Devoted though, it gives me great satisfaction knowing he's proved them all bloody wrong, especially the other music artists who slagged him off and have since crashed and burned. :P

I've had a brilliant time today watching the Abba / Big Band weeks of Pop Idol then the FC dvd. The latter is just so good :yahoo: I don't have any problem with how he's grown in the intervening time, it's all him so I'm quite happy.

I think it'll be the KO tour stuff tomorrow. :cheer:

Yes, poor Rosie, so terribly flat singing The winner takes it all!! :puke2: She never did get that contract from Pete!

I've watched all his appearances on GN quite recently, I think that one was excellent, and I loved the website slot as well.. I wonder if that one's still going

Poor Rosie that song sisn't do her any favours.

Darius is on This Morning this Thursday if anyone's been missing him. :)

I was thinking about Nat B and her second album selling just 19k this week..and to think when Wills third album did 107k it's first week the end was predicted again.

And I was thinking about Daniel B and wondering where he has gone.

We are lucky in that we have Will doing different things like the Plant Earth documentary. I am praying that he will be doing some interviews connected to that.

It's the diversity in his music as well Dot that I don't think we always appreciate. I've just spent a pleasant hour or so cleaning kitchen cupboards (as you do at 6.30 on a bank holiday Monday!) whilst listening to the Core Special Will did in 2005, it really hits home how diverse he is when you listen to his work in the way it was presented on that programme - I think we are spoilt really, can't wait to hear what he's going to come up with on album no 4 :cheer:

I'll probably record it - yoi never know - he may be asked about Will.. ;)

I doubt if even Will would have forseen just how popular he was to become. I think its because the public took him to their hearts.....he was sooo nice. I know he doesnt like that description but to find such a genuinely nice guy who is exceptionally talented and yet no pushover is a rarity these days. People warm to that.

I agree about his diversity..i really believe that is what keeps the interest..also you can't put a label on him..which we know he hates.. he doesn't stick to a genure either..which gives him freedome to experiment..

also the fact that you don't hear about him much..you know next to nothing about his private life only what he allows..he's intriguing.

 I didn't phrase my comment very well. I was actually thinking about people like Edward - and there have to be more out there who think like him and 'deserted'

Will after he changed his style.

I watch the old stuff too - as you all say it's nice to watch them back occasionally. I've recently got the PI stuff on DVDs from Jeanette with all the Green Room on them - he was sooooo good wasn't he  If Cowell is looking for the X-Factor I think he's still not found it. His new stars can sing - yes - but for me they just don't have it that special something that we saw in Will and that's carrying him ever onward. Ray's a cheeky chappy but he isn't versatile and Leona has vocal talent but absolutelyno charisma. I wonder how she'll be when she returns from the US. Another Joss  I got some CDs from the Poynt years ago but I can only play them through the computer and they were edited to just Will's bits so they tend to sit gathering dust.

Nice thread though. I really must remember to listen to Edith on Radio 1 in case I miss anything. Radio 1 just isn't for me these days. I used to listen to Moylesy a lot but went off the show after Rachel dissed Will for being a 'bad' guest - even though he was recovering from tonsilitis at the time and could very easily have cried off.

The best tester for Will was SIO..and although first week KO sales where not that of his previous albums...he's nearing a million now if he hasn't already passed that mark...and it showed him and us that he has a fanbase out there who stay with him.

i think he gets a lot of respect..from those inside the buisness.. he turns up and does a small guest spots at tiny gigs just for the joy of singing..the barfly comes to mind..

even at the Nitin gig..after he sung he went and sat on the floor with Conor and was quite happy just being there watching...i love that about thim

That's my one wish, to see Will in an intimate gig, just once would be enough  Love that he loves to just sing for the joy of it.

It might not have sold as well SWF (but then again we don't really know it's total sales because it was available for download weeks before it was released and who know how many downloaded it that didn't count  ) but it got people talking. That's what matters. I think it's a stonker of a first release off an album. I think ATL would have been met with - oh another Will Young ballad. He went with his instincts and to show he wasn't just a balladeer/crooner. He is very rarely wrong.

I agree about SIO..fantastic song and amazing video..he certainly cleaned out the Cobwebs with that entrance..as my mum would say..

very exciting cause we have no bloody clue..
