SAW, no not a horror film but Stock Aitken & Waterman. They got Rick Astley to no.1 with Never gonna give you up, Ferry Aid with Let it be and Mel & Kim with Respectable. And this was before Kylie.

yeah madonna 'la isla bonita' was good, and johnny hates jazz were decent enough pop too.

but things were going downhill...... fast.... the old punk generation were now moving on and the door was opening for a new wave of pop...... bolloxpop! the begining of talentless manufactured sounds...... oh how i hate pete waterman :)

Suddenly it is harder to come up with a decent list of 30 songs whilst for 1984 I could probably have come up with nearly 3 times as many quality songs.
