May 8, 200718 yr Hmm i dunno if i'd exactly call it a flop...but I think i say that cos a couple of my favourite artists are so underrated and compared to christina's career their sales have been bad so i dont really see how u can say B2B has been a flop....I do agree that the stripped era was better tho, although I love the B2B album i feel the songs are more sort of personal in the stripped album than B2B...this albums more fun songs than sort of personal if u get what i mean lol  i'll stop now as I'm rambling  but christina's said the next album will be a complete different direction and look so hopefully the next one will do better! i'd prefer it to be a more 'stripped album' next! :D
May 8, 200718 yr I don't agree with you: In my opinion Back to Basics is even better than Stripped it's just such a different style and more people prefer the Stripped style I guess. Stripped has so far better singles tho in my opinion. I do think Ain't No Other Man isn't that strong but it was the best choice they could make. Almost all the songs are excellent on the album * Except those 2 songs for me but everyone has his own taste ofcourse * Back To Basics sold good, her tour is sold out everywhere and she got nice positions with her singles.. What do you wanna have more? Edited May 8, 200718 yr by Kimmy
May 9, 200718 yr What do you wanna have more? Well I would have liked the SALES to go with it really. :arrr: B2B's is on like what? 4.4m or something? Also it's nearing the end of the project now so in all likeliness it will finish on roughly 5m, which isn't even HALF of what Stripped sold. I honestly think being #1 is a curse! Stripped wasn't #1 and it sold massively and the same goes for her self titled debut. -_- The singles achieved "alright" positions, but when you consider every one of the 5 singles from Stripped was Top10, it's not too impressive. :( Bring on the next project I say!
May 9, 200718 yr Although the B2B singles have been better than the Stripped singles, the whole style is just awful; shes gone all 1930s or whatever but one of the best things about Christina was that she was filthy, and she knew it. It made her HOT! 40's music is amazing. Christina looked like a cheap whore as Xtina. She looks stunning now.
May 9, 200718 yr Author ^ hopefully its sooner than 4 years until the next project as well :( I think if she waits another 4 years people would have lost interest.

May 10, 200718 yr I like this album best....She sounds more mature than before and music and lyrics are better...I don't think that she has to do every album the same as the previous ones just to sell something...If people like it they will buy it anyway.. -_-

We're now in 2007. In 2010 there probably won't be cd's anymore, only digital stuff! That's why,, If the whole illegal download did not excist she probably sold more than 10 million! It's sucks & I hate it but that's where we are right now.

May 10, 200718 yr I really liked this album, but I agree with Kelly about all her singles from "Stripped" were top 10 which is really good. Too bad her new singles flopped. :(
May 11, 200718 yr ive got to agree, she looked really ugly (not dirty) sometimes in the stripped days.. she looks better now :o
May 11, 200718 yr If she waits 3 years in between this and her next project she will only loose fans. I think she should have a new album out by the end of 2008.
May 12, 200718 yr I agree with those of you who say she looks better now then when she was in the Stripped era. I think the biggest mistake made with the 3rd album was releasing it as a 2CD project. It would have been far better removing 4 or 5 of the weaker tracks and releasing Back To Basics as a killer single CD.
May 12, 200718 yr what an absolute JOKE... in no way has this era been a 'DISASTER'!! yes the sales have been disappointing BUT you guys are missing some key elements which are gonna change her career forever.... 1. 'Hurt' has been one of her biggest hits in Europe... catapulting her into bigger stardom in France, another major music industry!! 2. a VERY successful world tour with over 83 dates confirmed worldwide, 8 of which have just sold out in OZ in under an hour resulting in 2 and 3rd dates being added. 3. the performances from this era have given her critical acclaim with RAVE reviews of her grammy performance, and i quote 'LEGENDARY'!!!! 4. yes sales arent the best but with the double disc being double the amount in the US for the early critical stages people were not prepared to fork it out. so thats why sales in the US are disappointing!! 5. this era has been very important and will make christina only progress into a bigger, better artist... the performance styles are AMAZING now, something she will never lose!! Christina is grown into a TRUE PERFORMER with vocal, something her peers are struggling to achieve!! :D
