Yes that's what I was referring to.

 

Jennifer (or Tommy, or whoever) stole the sample that was used in what would have been the first 'Glitter' single. That song became 'I'm Real'; Mariah's track was never released.

 

Not content with that, someone at Sony found out Mariah was secretly working with Ja Rule on a hip-hop ballad ('If We' off 'Glitter'). And so Jen rush-released a hip-hop ballad, even though there were other singles from her album ready to go. That was the 'I'm Real' remix.

I think Jennifer herself wouldn´t want a duet with Mariah because Mariah´s voice would completely eclipse her and her lack of talent would become even more evident. Plus, r´n´b divas only duet with rappers and not other divas, if Mariah did a duet with J-Lo the universe would explode.

But Mariah is usually more popular with youngs, while Whitney makes the adult type, plus both have good voices... With J-Lo it would be a catfight since they both make the r´n´b sexy diva clothesless, plus J-Lo has an awful voice which would be a disaster in a duet...

I agree with most of it, she said in an interview that she hadn't even heard of Westlife, but she heard they were big in the UK and to help gain more popularity over here she did the duet, the Westlife version of Against All Odds was hated in America, so she released the song without Westlife on it.

i like both of them, they should duet!
