September 22, 201014 yr Author Scotty Moore’s unique Guitar Sound Recreated:  Ever since guitarist Vince Gordon heard "Mystery Train" and "My Baby Left Me" with Elvis Presley in his youth, he wanted that guitar sound. After years of extensive research he came up with an impressive result that can be heard on video. How everything was done is laid out in details on his website and can be copied by the many guitarists who also want to sound like Scotty Moore’s legendary recordings. Guitarists into Scotty Moore will be happy to know that the guitar sound was recreated using only affordable modern day equipment. An approach that is typical for the rockabilly guitar advice found on Vince Gordon’s website The Rockabilly Guitar Page. The key element to getting the Scotty Moore sound is a semi-acoustic Epiphone guitar that Vince Gordon of rockabilly band The Jime customised with special pick-ups etc. The website offers an in-depth article that tells how everything was done – from customising the guitar to the actual recordings. On January 8th - Elvis's 76th birthday - he will officially open his own recording studio in the building of the James Burton Foundation on Elvis Presley Ave in Shreveport, Louisiana. The studio is a gift from James and his wife Louise and the James Burton Foundation to young musicians who are trying to find their way in today's music industry.
