Posted May 12, 200718 yr I absolutely adored "Up All Night". It was in my top 5 albums of 2004 and most of the songs were generally uplifiting, varied and catchy. Yet they somehow managed to come back with an album which is possibly THE worst I have EVER heard. It's full of dull, bland, unimaginative $h!tE. "America" is my least favourite (original) number one of the decade. It's the most insispid piece of nonsence I've ever heard. It's a truly shocking album not worthy of ANY praise, let alone over a million sales and various good reviews. I truly despair. :manson: :manson: :manson: :manson: :manson:
May 12, 200718 yr I'm not too sure why they kind of sold out. I like the new album, and I think it's got a couple of jems on it, but also the worst track they've ever done (Re-worked version of Kirby's House). I thought America was brilliant to begin with, but now it's one of those songs that i've gone off loads but the first time I ever heard it, it instantly hit me and I thought it was brilliant. I prefer Up All Night to Razorlight though.
May 12, 200718 yr I agree, I liked the singles off the first album and thought the band showed potential but they just became one of the most awful bands out there with this album. 'In The Morning' being the worst example of this. :manson:
May 12, 200718 yr Hmmm, I quite disagree on this topic. I don't think they've become awful at all. I absolutely adore their early days and I agree their sophomore album is not as good, but great nevertheless. "America" is an instant rock classic, in my opinion. It has that special 'gig' feeling that "Somewhere Else" also has, the other singles are very good too. "In The Morning" and "Before I Fall To Pieces" are very catchy, in my opinion.
May 12, 200718 yr Liked them from Somewhere Else. Still like them enough to get a forum for them. End of
