May 14, 200718 yr Why not have a system where as well as voting for your fav countries, you can vote your least fav countries ie I take 8 points from ...., I take 10 points from ... etc. Interesting when one country is voting for and another is voting against.

Hardly goes with the original reason the contest was set up - to help unite Europe. Eurovision is supposed to be a night of entertainment, not animosity. It's an interesting idea but would just ruin a night, as well as any spirit of unity.

Though I think this topic just shows that the competition certainly doesnt unite at the moment either as Wogan said it "shows how different we all are from each other". But no I dont think taking points awa from some people is viable either. I quite liked that whole 100 points in a pot idea, maybe we could have it more widespread however so a country gets points proportionally representative to the % of votes they got from each country
