Snow Patrol split with management

Snow Patrol will begin a new era this week, leaving their long-term management stable at Big Life and appointing Peter Mensch of Q Prime to run their day-to-day affairs.

Q Prime, the US-based management company which boasts global stars including Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Shania Twain, has already begun absorbing day-to-day responsibilities this week.

Q Prime is looking to its appointment as an opportunity to drive a move into the UK market, setting up a full time UK presence for the first time.

Jazz Summers from Big Life has been instrumental in success of Snow Patrol, signing the band for management and publishing prior to their deal with Fiction records and guiding them to global success. Big Life will retain the band's publishing.

Summers was the recipient of The Strat at this year's Music Week Awards; awarded for outstanding achievement to the music industry.

Snow Patrol maybe heading in the right direction with the new US management but I hope they won't just string them along and forget about them.

It may also mean that they may spend more time in the US than the UK :( I just hope they know what they are doing.

oh god i hope they dont go to US management :(

I hope they know what they are doing, because their former management has not done that bad a job have they?

So do I! I have a feeling they may become like U2 i.e spend all their time in the US and perform on as many US shows as possible. I like U2 but they never really do much in this of the world. I think they should have stuck with their management.
