A lot of the b-sides touch me and Journey's End, Live Twice and in a way Secret Song from LT.

 

From DI, Simple Like The Truth and Better Than That and Mocking Bird despite their upbeat tunes because they reveal the caring D trying to help in situations which are frustrating and where he feels impotent.

Can you imagine those two songs sung in whiney, arty rock ( a lal Coldplay) style?

Strange to say but Pretty Flamingo always gets to me. Its not the song but the way he sings it. Its the sound that my Paul and I were going to go for in the band we were intending to get together in 1983. Great plans never fulfilled. If you have a plan, go for it You nevr know what tomorrow brings

 

I never really got into that song at all. But then , it doesn't have the same memories for me. I have a special place in my heart for Girl in the Moon :heart:

Tear run dry is so emotional

Having seen the video on Youtube of Mercury Rising, I think that would be something to see sung live :)
