What about the girl who was snatched from her bath a few years ago? Her parents were in the same house.

 

The parents did everything reasonable by way of precaution in that case and are entirely blameless, the McCann's did not, and are not blameless....

Believe it or not there is now a cinema ad doing the rounds in UK cinemas appealing for information and telling people to "be on the look out" (I had to sit through this yesterday when I went to see "Tell No One")... Frankly, I dont really see any point in this at all... For a start, she was kidnapped in PORTUGAL, not the UK so showing an ad in UK cinemas seems utterly pointless (as if she's actually in Britain ffs... -_- ), secondly, I cant imagine for a second that there isn't anyone in the four corners of the world who could possibly be unaware of the story, thirdly they go on about the distinctive mark on one of her pupils... Erm, so, how does that help really, are we supposed to now stare into the eyes of every 4 year old blonde girl in the country to see if she has the "distinctive mark" or not... Yeah, like I'm real sure parents of kids will take kindly to total strangers coming up and staring at their daughter's eyes (I know I wouldn't, I'd probably smack them one)..... Fourthly, and most importantly I feel, why are there no cinema ads for the hundreds of other kids who go missing in THIS country every year....?

 

Folks, this whole thing just keeps getting more and more ridiculous... This sounds really terrible I know, but part of me actually wishes they had found Maddie when they were digging up that field, then at least we could all be spared this bullsh!t.....

I don't know if her parents realise yet but THE MEDIA HYPE IS OVER NOW. So just drop it and treat the case like how thousands of other parents treat the case every week cause there child has gone missing. Madeleine and her parents are no different except for the fact that the parents where to blame but becuase of the whole class thing they've been given a better chance to find her. Which Im telling everyone now, they wont. -_-

There have been loads of sightings in Malta of what people say was her, all by different people so hopefully she is there. It is a very small place so if she is there, then she will be found. And I for one would rather have it still on the news etc, then for her to have been found dead. The media hype has slowed down now anyway, so it is quite easy to just ignore it all if you don't want to hear about it.

Kinda hard to ignore it when you're sitting IN a cinema and you're having a poxy ad rammed down your throat whether you want it or not.... <_< And very sneakily, it came after the trailers (which I actually did want to watch....)

If you're actually paying attention to the debate, you'll realise that we're discussing a lot other related issues, such as why the hundreds of other kids who go missing in this country dont merit the same sort of intense press attention... Nothing short of bloody scandalous if you ask me.... And I dont see why I should be forced to watch an advert about it when I go to the cinema to see a film......

But it's like anything else...if you don't want to hear a song on the radio, change the station. Ok so you dont have a choice in the cinema but maybe some people don't like watching the previews in cinemas or those Orange adverts in the odeon. You just have to try not to allow yourself to get worked up about it.

 

I just don't see why people keep going on about it if they're so tired of hearing about it. If you don't want to read about it, just don't. Turn the page.

To Loveology - This is a thread for expressin an opinion like Josh says.. We are here to debate not necessarily to pore over every last detail of the case....

 

But the majorty of people are expressing the same things they expressed on page 1... Basically what alot of people are doing is repeating themselves and jumping on people whenever they say something in support of the parents or their cause.

Traces of her blood allegedly found in her room in Portugal and attempts had been made to wash off blood from the wall

 

hmmmmmmmm, we are meant to believe that this cold blooded killer went into the house, killed her, left the other 2 kids alone and still calmly washed down the walls before walking out of there with her body ??

 

Very suspicious in terms of the parents if this turns out to be true, its time the media and police stopped treating them as saints and untouchables and started asking them some serious questions

even so, i cant believe that parents would do it... i mean... theres just no logic to it.

 

I would not say that it would be deliberate murder but more likely either a tragic accident they tried to cover up in a moment of panic or a sudden moment of lost temper because Madeleine would not stop crying or something and she hits her head against the wall and dies or something and in the panic of risk of possible murder charges they concoct alibi with friends and bury the body or something, I would doubt they are pre meditated killers but I do find this latest development a bit suspicious

Any news on the DNA results that the police were getting on the glass from the resturant in Belguim where a women claimed she was definatly spotted? The Portugues police are STILL bloody looking in Murat's house, which is so ridiculous. It's been three bloody months for heavens sake, if there was ever any sort of evidence it would be long gone by now. :rolleyes:

 

Also, why on earth has it taken three months for the police to look in the appartment where she was taken from? I mean honestly :rolleyes:

nah... an accident is just that, bury her, dont make things worse by hiding the body...

agreed, theres only suspicion, after all hes a middle aged bloke who lives with his mother.... so he MUST be a muderous p**** mustnt he!
