It must've been available to download, at least it would've been if the Eurovision 2005 CD was on iTunes.

Well it wasn't and still isn't....so :P

Yeah "My Number One" was released on iTunes in summer 2006, and a couple of songs were available to download on single at the time, but the 2005 album was never put on iTunes. The 2006 one wasn't available until about August either!

Again, it probably would have only affected Lordi, as "My Number One" was only released here last summer. :(

Is it true what I've heard about Verka's song - that in its original version the lyrics said "Russia goodbye" instead of "Lasha Tumbai" :teresa:, but they changed it since it was offensive for Russia? Have you heard anything like that? :P

She sung Russia goodbye on the night, and almost got docked points.

Really? How did I miss that? :kink: I guess I didn't listen that careful then, I heard that just today and got curious. :">
It blends in quite well, you have to listen out for it. :P I only noticed it on a second listen.

I don't get why people are kicking such a fuss about that - she clearly didn't sing it! She sounds like she is singing "Russia" at some points but she sings "Tumbai" clear as a bell

Nah the first two times s/he says "I want you see Lasha Tumbai" but the third time I'm 99% it's Russia Goodbye. In fact he says it the sixth time too.
i think ukraine's performance was good that night but in my opinion Russia deserved it and i couldnt understand when Russia got the points the whole saloon whistled ,they protested something but i dont what. And i saw the change of the Russian singers face.they had the right to enjoy the evening
I don't get why they booed Russia either. Though they got the same treatment in 2003 with TATU, though that was because the hall disliked TATU.

When did they almost get docked points?

Oh I read it on ESC Today, apparently they could've suffered a Croatia 1999 situation. :o But it didn't come to that.
