The singer is apparently ready to fork out $8.3 million on a four-bedroom mansion complete with a private beach in Brighton after splitting from Oliver Martinez, whom she shared a pad with in Paris. "She thinks Brighton is a trendy and hip place to live. Being such a gay icon she knows people there will warm to her and make her feel at home, although it is a bit unlikely she'll find a man," a friend of Kylie's said. "Kylie was brought up in Melbourne and wants to live on the coast again because she misses it." The diminutive star has had a string of failed romances – including INXS singer Michael Hutchence, model James Gooding and Neighbours co-star Jason Donovan. Since splitting from Martinez, she has been seen out with several mystery men, but has denied an affair with married director Alexander Dahn. "I have never been unfaithful to a partner and would find it completely immoral to be involved with a married man," she said.
