Just seen that posted on the site.

So he must be last on and had the honour of cutting the cake.

Go Gareth :cheer:

Oh, to be there, right at this moment :yahoo:

Apparently Gareth closed the show with a 6 song set list, including Angel and two other songs from the album.

He also sang Heaven and Summer of 69  and a Guns & Roses song but don't know which one.

He got a fantastic reception :cheer:

Thanks for the link to Gareth singing Drive.

Absolutely loved it! :cheer:

If you download the album from iTunes on the Monday, you'll get Drive as a bonus track. :D
Unfortunately I have a feeling that Angel on my shoulder won't be UK top 20 :(

I hope you're wrong Jason, but I fear, especially with the album out a week later, that you may well be right.

Its such a shame, because IMO this song deserves to do much better than that. All we can do is hope for the best :)

I think if people might buy the album instead, that is a good thing. Hoping that the album will do okish, really do. It has great songs on, I love the samples I heard.

Have faith Val with all the incentives & signings I can see both going top 10.

Probably will fall fast in the following weeks once the core fanbase stops buying.

It does have great songs and such diverse ones too. They go from the very funky sounding and up-tempo `New Kid In town' to the very classy (and my personal favourite) `Talking Minds'. And with a fair bit of variety in between.

It was interesting to see Gareth say in an interview that the most difficult song to get right on the album was `Lost In You'. He apparently was tweaking it for quite some time before he was entirely happy with it. And I must say the final results sound damned good to me.

He's put so much work into this album and he really deserves to have success with it. If only people would listen to it without all the preconceptions.

Val I really cant wait to hear all the songs in full.

Love them all, but especially Cant believe its over, New kid in town and Electric.

I have got the cd, its brilliant to hear it on the stereo. :cheer:

Loving both songs, but Horizon Shinging is a real feel good upbeat song. I am a happy bunny, lol

Thanks Hasso. I haven't had a chance to get my copy yet, so its nice to see all that.

He's been telling us he has had more input on this new music and he wasn't joking was he. Best thing he's done moving away in this direction. It must be very musically fulfilling for him to be able to have so much input.

I'm sure its much more rewarding for him personally, that getting No1's.

Just been out to get my copy of Angel

Can't believe they have it on sale for £2.99 in Woolworths.

£1.99 in HMV

I remember all of Gareth's early CDs were £3.99, so this is a bargain. In fact, I'm sure after almost everyone else was selling at £1.99 BMG were still charging the full £3.99, which was OK for Spirit in the Sky, because it had to raise money for charity, but Sunshine was that price too.

I don't mind paying £2.99 for my copy, and it's cheaper than trying to find an HMV. Love it, love it, love it, and I love that Gareth has been so involved with making these songs. Naturally, I want him to have the commercial success he so thoroughly deserves, but to be able to release material like this that means a lot to him, must be incredibly satisfying.

He also confirmed that he plans to release his music in Europe and Asia, but no dates set yet. It's all in here along with a few cheeky questions! I'm surprised they didn't edit them a bit.

I hope he does release in Europe and Asia fairly soon. He still has such a lot of very loyal fans overseas who deserve to get hold of his new music

Well Nosey I am a member of Gareth's O/S and I haven't seen this INTERVIEW

Have missed about him releasing in Europe and Asia AND

missed that he's up to sharing a tent. Stands a chance that after his appearing at Hyde Park he will be a punter at Glastonbury!

That's where I got the link! :o

I think it means a lot to Gareth to be able to get involved with all of the instrumentation. I'm pleased he found a good producer who was able to let him do that.

Bit of a last minute add - he's on Richard & Judy tomorrow, as well as Graham Norton later in the evening.

It's only two pounds exactly in my local Virgin.
