Just to let you know if you don't know already :P Gareths on the Graham Norton show tonight at 10 on bbc2 :D

Thanks to your post last night i managed to catch him on the show as we get it later over here.

He came across really well in the interview and made me laugh and i was so pleased he sung live too. I think his voice has actually improved since the last time i heard him sing live years ago. Ahh i love the song too, but i think i've said that before! lol

AnneMarie, he was very funny, it was a great interview and I loved the performance too. Glad you manged to see it.
Very good chat and great performance. The Gareth we saw on Graham Norton is the Gareth I recognise from the snippets of behind the scenes stuff we'd seen over the years. I'm glad everyone else is getting to see that side of him too.
has the album leaked yet? i will be buying it next week im just bored and want something new to listen too  ^_^

That's an encouraging post Johny. Do so hope others begin to think the same.

There's an article in the Daily Star today about Gareth playing at Hard Rock's Hyde Park Calling Festival tomorrow. He said his really nervous about playing there as most of the acts are a lot rockier. He said " Im pretty nervous, Im not expecting Aerosmiths fans to take to me straight away, Im going to have to work pretty hard to win them over."

His going to be doing a few covers in his 45min set including Bon Jovi's Living on a prayer.

He also said " I know its going to be hard but its a challenge I want to take, people have preconceptions of me that I want to change."

good luck to Gareth :cheer: Im sure he will do a great set, but there will be some idiots who will probaly throw some bottles -_- but he will win them over, im sure ^_^

Gareth is performing today, he should just about be finishing his set at 5pm , so maybe we'll have news soon :cheer:

I just got back from Hyde Park and Gareth was bloddy fantastic.

He sang with his band

New Kid in Town

19 Minutes (himself on the keyboards)

Afterglow (also Gareth on keyboards)

Lost in You

Can't Believe It's Over

Angel on my shoulder

Pictures of the other side (all songs of his album)

and ended with a rocky version of Spirit in the Sky which had the tent which was packed raising the roof with their cheers.

Most of Gareth's new songs on his album are rocky and he fitted right in and was well received.

I loved it and so did the audience. :cheer:

He did do a great set Johnny. 7 new songs from the album and a great rocky version of SIIS.

I'm very pleased to say there wasn't one bottle thrown and the crowd (almost packed) seem to take to him really well. Lots of comments were heard from on-lookers who weren't fans saying how well he'd done and how they admired him.

Needless to say, I absolutely loved every minute of the whole performance

I think Gareth turned a huge corner with this performance as far as his credibility is concerned. Hope we get a lot more of the same.

He was also out mingling with the crowd after his performance signing and having pictures taken and was seen standing in the crowd with his girlfriend watching another terrific performance by The Feeling, which I also loved.

Great day

:yahoo: :cheer: Im very happy, glad you had a great time :D

22  AOMS is a lot better than Changes imo, but I think AOMS should of been released as the first single tbh, if it was, I think it would of definetly of gone Top 10!

Whats everyones predictions for the album tomorrow?

Thanks for that info about the Daily Star. OMG so glad I didn't read it yesterday before I went to Hyde Park.

Was so expecting Gareth to do the Bon Jovi number but he took a real chance and did a "stripped back to it's roots rock version" of Spirit in the Sky. Have to say I was just struck dumb when he said it was his next track, and truly with his new stuff, never expected him to do it again but it worked and worked well. The crowd absolutely loved it. :cheer:

Was hoping AOMS would have made top 20. Am hoping the album makes it but it is a hard week.
