June 29, 200718 yr Clinton supporters snub U2 Hot Press, June 27, 2007 When fans were asked to choose a theme song for Hilary Clinton's Presidential campaign, it seems U2 didn't quite cut it. U2 have missed out on the possibly dubious honour of soundtracking Hilary Clinton's Presidential election campaign. Wanting a rousing tune to rally her Democratic troops over the next 18 months, Hils put a shortlist of eight songs on her website and asked her supporters to pick their favourite. Although presented with such quality options as U2's "Beautiful Day," K.T. Tunstall's "Suddenly I See," Dixie Chicks' "Ready to Run" and the Temptations' "Get Ready," the song that got the nod was Celine Dion's execrable power ballad "You + I." © Hot Press, 2007.
