William Robert Young (born January 20, 1979) is an English singer and actor. He catapulted to fame in 2002 after winning the inaugural UK Pop Idol contest. He has continued to work very successfully in music, and also as an actor.

 

He has released three albums to date and has become the most successful (along with Girls Aloud) act to come out of UK reality talent shows in the last few years.

 

Well done people #20 out of 493 entries isn't bad at all - in spite of the fears of a few that he was heading to #1 :rolleyes:

 

Shame it wasn't mentioned that two of those albums hit the top spot and the third #2 and he has sales of 7 Million singles and albums in the UK alone. I don't know where the information was obtained from but it could do with being bulked out.
