Posted May 18, 200718 yr For me:     1. Daz Sampson (2006) 2. Gina G (1996) 3. Scooch (2007) 4. Precious (1999) 5. Jessica Garlick (2002) -_- ^_^ ;) :) 6. Katrina and The Waves (1997) 7. Lindsay D (2001) 8. Jemini (2003) 9. Imaani (1998)  10. Nicki French (2000) 11. Javine (2005) :puke2: :puke2: :puke2: 12. James Fox (2004) Daz and Scooch may have done atrociously but I thought that Javine and James Fox were much worse...neither of them could have given a stuff about the contest...rather their failing careers. Nicki French was alright but compared to some of the other songs in 2000 just not good enough. Imaani was ok, I quite liked Jemini until i saw the performance...Lindsay D was a good performer but could have done without the weird rapper. Katrina was a legend but I don't love the song that much, its like a prayer. Jessica Garlick was great, very professional, Precious were good as they were very fresh at the time! Scooch are excellent as it was so unexpected for them to make a comeback. Gina G was just brilliant and she should have walked it in 1996 and Daz joined Carola as the best song of last year. Teenage Life was just excellent with such a great sentiment and a brilliant performance...it really should have done better.

Coincidence? I don't think so.....they were just rubbish songs (although at least Daz Sampson was entertaining)
May 19, 200718 yr 1. Jessica Garlick (2002) - just wonderful 2. Gina G (1996) - fun fun fun! and she should have walked it 3. Katrina (1997) - she has to be third, she won it for us!! 4. James Fox (2004) - although he didn't have much impact and his song WAS a bit boring, I did find him very likeable. 5. Imaani (1998) - deacent vocals, and a nice song 6. Nicki French (2000) - again, good enough!! 7. Jemini (2003) - I think it they hadn't both been so damn off-key for the whole thing we wouldn't have done too horrifically. But as it was ... 8. Precious (1999) - I don't remember this at all :| how awful is that?! 9. Lindsay Draccas (2001) - I have to admit, I don't actually remember her that much, because all I remember from the early 00's was Jessica!! haha! But, it was okay ... better than the last three I've put  10. Javine (2005) - an okay song, an okay performance, but not win-able. 11. Scooch (2007) - at least it was good fun ... 12. Daz Sampson (2006) - unlike this which was just ridiculous.

May 29, 200718 yr 1 & 1 Imaani & Precious - I can't choose between them ! Both fabulous ! 3 Scooch 4 Gina G 5 Javine 6 Lindsay D 7 Katrina & Waves 8 Jessica Garlick 9 James Fox 10 Nicki French 11 Daz Sampson 12 Jemini ( awful song.Should have sent Emily Reed instead - she came second in the uk selection that year)
May 29, 200718 yr Author ^^^Interestingly Emily Reed was one of the girls that was part of Daz's performance :-)
May 29, 200718 yr The rest arent worthy of being rated  1. Javine 2. Gina G 5. Scooch 6. Daz Sampson 4. Jemini 7. James Fox And this litany of blandness, embarrassment and musical atrocity IS worthy of being rated....???? Man, I am seriously beginning to think your taste in music is absolutely appalling... Even in their respective genres (of which I never really expect much tbh....) they are the absolute pits.... Jemini were a fukkin' joke even by manufactured Pop standards... Singing off key (didn't they even rehearse...??? To be that bad and totally amateurish really takes some doing... We'd've been better off sending someone from "Stars In Their Eyes" tbh...) Gina G - Oh, gimme a break... Third rate Kylie wannabe.... Daz Sampson???? - Are you joking, you actually RATE this useless c/unt....? James Fox - BLAND BLAND BLAND BLAND...... Makes James Blunt seem like Nick Drake.... Javine - Even by R&B standards, she is a total blank... I'd rather listen to Beyonce than this utterly useless bint... Scooch...... I wont even comment.... My sides are aching too much.....
May 30, 200718 yr ^^^Interestingly Emily Reed was one of the girls that was part of Daz's performance :-) She actually got more votes than Jemini too, but because of the regional voting Jemini went through.

We are only being given twelve songs to choose from remember  Would you actually rate Jessica Garlick, Lyndsey D, Nikki French, Imaani, Precious or Katrina?
May 31, 200718 yr Yes, but Grimly, what do you think of the other six? Do you reckon they're any better? We are only being given twelve songs to choose from remember  Would you actually rate Jessica Garlick, Lyndsey D, Nikki French, Imaani, Precious or Katrina? The only one I actually remember out of that lot is Katrina.. Wasn't too hot tbh... But still, we managed to win somehow... And at least Katrina and the Waves were a known act at the time (not that they've really done anything since though...) The rest of em, pretty forgettable.... Bottom line, we need to stop sending sh!t performed by has-beens, never-weres or no-hopers and get someone actually BIG and FAMOUS in our country.. Like the Eastern Europeans do...
