May 20, 200718 yr Tbh I doubt she will be dropped - she wasnt dropped after Shoot From The Hip only sold 60k, and thisll probs match that. They must have had a heart of gold to keep her on after that, which is why she really needs this to be successful. :(
May 20, 200718 yr Author Yer, she really needs to go gold with this. TTLF needs a massive promotional effort like Bev's Music City Soul, with supermarkets having it as their number 1, record of the week etc, and If You Go needs the kind of promo Catch You had.
May 20, 200718 yr If You Go Why would they promote If You Go when Today The Sun's On Us is the next single? I'd say top 10 seeing as its sold 75,000 already
May 20, 200718 yr Sophie has said she's now thinking of releasing 'If You Go' next. Seeing as 'If You Go' is absolutely amazing and seems to have got a better reception than 'Today The Sun's On Us', it would be wise to go with it I'm thinking...
May 20, 200718 yr Author That would be bad :( Only If you Go (from what ive heard) could save TTLF now..
May 20, 200718 yr I don't think it would matter what she releases next - the campaign is pretty much dead and I think it'll be even worse when the album scrapes top 40 next week. :( Such a shame as I'm looking forward to hearing it too :(
May 21, 200718 yr Author Well you never know, it could surprise us all. One tiny bit of promo we can do is to move it up to a more prominent position on supermarket and shop selves etc
May 21, 200718 yr I am going to say around 47. I think part of the reason she didn't get dropped last time was she got pregnant and could not carry on with the campaign. So, they gave her a chance this time to see if she could do better.
May 21, 200718 yr Sadly I think the same. :( Unless they release 'If You Go' next and REALLY put the effort in, and make sure they DON'T fuck up the release of it.

Sadly I think the same. :( Unless they release 'If You Go' next and REALLY put the effort in, and make sure they DON'T fuck up the release of it. Exactly. It would need a special effort - a really great CD single cover, a really good tracklisting with the two-track CD having a b-side, and a lot of promo (including live performances).
May 21, 200718 yr Whats wrong with record comapanies these days.. we can do a better job lol Edited May 21, 200718 yr by __paul__
May 21, 200718 yr Author We could! :P I dont get why they dont see that no promo will equal sh!t performing album and single :(
