The site now has an automated backup that's operates each night at the same off peak time. Around 5:15am BST.

 

While the backup is in operation a splash screen appears which refreshes every 30 seconds ready for the site to return.

The automatic backup has been in operation for a few days now and it appears the backup process is complete in less then 10 minutes.

 

I hope you appreciate the professional approach being take to maintain site reliability.

Thats really good, so if there is another crash *touches wood so it wont happen* it can be easily solved? At least everything will be kept

Depends on the type of crash martyn. Backup's don't solve all issues but they do help a lot.
