Anyone been to see this yet..?

Well, I must say that having such high hopes for a Mitchell and Webb feature film, I come away a tad disappointed to be honest... Mind you, not that they're really the first extremely successful comedy act who on TV are great, but in the cinema are a bit pants... They join the club with Harry Enfield/Kathy Burke, Rick and Ade, Morcambe and Wise, Tony Hancock, Dick Emery, Eddie Izzard....

Not that it's as giant a turd as "The Magnificent Two" or "Kevin and Perry Go Large", it's just not "Peep Show" standard. At all. And it's nowhere near as good as Nick Frost and Simon Pegg's fantastic Cinema outings.. I suppose it might've been a bit much to ask for "Peep Show - the Movie" on their first outing, but did they really have to play it quite this safe.. Frankly it's like I'm watching some crappy "Working Title" rom-com at times, it's just not them.... Frankly, I laugh more at their Apple Mac adverts than I did at this film... Sure, it does have its moments, but they are all too fleeting and the moments when they do actually show their true form are inversely more annoying than anything because you're just wishing to Christ that they'd developed on it a bit more and gone more off the deep end like we all know they can do...

But, in a way, I actually do wish success for this film, because then if it is a success we might actually get the REAL Mitchell and Webb in a future film, and a "Peep Show" film possibly green-lighted.... I would urge all Mitchell and Webb fans to see this film, but only for that reason....

nor numberwang standard

then again it was alright but obv not as filmmatic as the prestige and maybe it should have been on tv as an 1 hour movie?

then again the writers of this might be Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain of peep show fame, but remember they are also the writers of that 'That 70s show' UK remake disaster so obv they can prod dumbass stuff too!!!!
