Posted May 22, 200718 yr http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...endID=127638006 If you didn't already know Simon has landed himself the leading title track for the new Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer blockbuster movie. Take a listen, I think you'll be surprised. :yahoo: Also listen to 'Grace' ( One of his best to date imo) which he is releasing with 'Ride the Storm' as a double A side. I hope for good things from this! Opinions? Edited May 22, 200718 yr by kitkat03
May 22, 200718 yr Ride The Storm is dreadful and it doesn't suit his voice, Grace is good, it's that woman singing in the background again, they should become a duo as she makes the song.
May 23, 200718 yr OH MYZ The attempt at combing a rock song with an R`n`B vocal really doesn't work :o CARCRASH MUSICK OR WHAT
May 23, 200718 yr He's done worse I guess, but I still wish he could be eradicated from the music scene. :(
May 23, 200718 yr Not really sure about it  ! Maybe it's a grower, but the song doesn't really suit him.
May 23, 200718 yr Author :o I thought there may be a better responce, as its pretty different to what he's been bringing out, and thats what people seem to critisise him for, being too samey. <_< But you don't strike me as Simon Webbe fans so I guess you may be more critical if you don't like him where I would be bias in comparrison. It is a grower! You will be humming to it after a few listens, I guarantee.
May 23, 200718 yr I quite like it...it's different to his usual stuff anyway, I still prefer Grace though!
May 23, 200718 yr After hearing Chris Cornell's quite dreadful attempt at doing a Bond song for "Casino Royale", I thought I would never hear a worse soundtrack song.. I was wrong.....
May 23, 200718 yr He's done worse I guess, but I still wish he could be eradicated from the music scene. :( just like lee from blue :P
May 23, 200718 yr i think the songs is ok im glad he'still standing after being dropped by the record label the other blue member lol are long gone lol
May 23, 200718 yr Author i think the songs is ok im glad he'still standing after being dropped by the record label the other blue member lol are long gone lol He hasnt been dropped, they were just rumours. Simon is one of the most successful at Innocent records, but I think he is close if Ride the storm and Grace bomb. Grace is fecking awesome though so i hope it does well.

Perhaps I need to listen to it a bit more. I'm sure I'll get to love it, just as I do everything Simon has released :D Grace is fantastic
May 23, 200718 yr OMG this is TOTALLY different to his other stuff isn't it :o am quite liking actually, it's a good bet a lot of his fans won't, however. I think Grace is still the better side though. Edited May 23, 200718 yr by threepiecesuit

Im so glad he's releasing this as this is as good as 'Sanctuary' which I think would have been great as a single, but obv never was, so Im very pleased he & Innocent have wised up to release this gem. Good to see most people are quite liking Grace! Edited May 23, 200718 yr by kitkat03

My favourite song of Simon's after No Worries.

May 24, 200718 yr Author I am a SW fan (well in the sense that I have his albums anyway) but I'm not crazy about this new one <_< ! 'Ride the storm' I take it you mean? Or 'Grace' ? I can see why you wouldnt maybe like Ride the storm, as its rather different. But, Grace
May 24, 200718 yr His voice seems to struggle a bit through the track...but i think its ok ...far better than his other releases which have been quite bland.
May 24, 200718 yr The title "Ride The Storm".... Got a bit of a double-edge meaning though dunnit... Considering that Jessica Alba's character in Fantastic Four is called Susan Storm Richards    Mind you, the Human Torch is called Johnny Storm.....
