In a $2.09 billion deal, Universal Music Group purchased BMG Publishing to create the world’s biggest music publishing company. The new group, which has knocked the EMI off its reign of the market share will incorporate artists including Elvis Presley, U2, Shania Twain, Bon Jovi, Prince, 50 Cent, Fatboy Slim, Brian McKnight, Shania Twain, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Elton John, Elvis Costello, Bob Dylan, Frank Sinatra, Leonard Bernstein and Henry Mancini.
