Seriously, wtf is this??? It's so dreadful, but I absolutely love it. :(

Oh, I hated this.

The Cuban Boys are a cult dj act and as well as the hamster dance (perhaps a big fave with pet shop boys  ) they have also done oh god they've kid kenny which was a mix of old 70's record the bump and warner brothers cartton samples.

The Cubans have now almost completed five mixes of The Penthouse Messiahs track and plans are being made to possibly get a couple of dance remixes done by some established djs. Apart from the music, the boys have been on a bizarre photo shoot in Moscow and have also produced some smart promotional material in preparation for the single. The scene is being set for a nice campaign for early-Spring.

As you might have noticed, an online store has now been added to the website, along with a blog and a couple of new links to Blu's music projects. The store will be handy place to buy both new and old Cuban releases, including the band's other projects - keep an eye out for new additions soon.

This leads nicely into the news that Ricardo has released a wonderfully diverse solo album called INTERROBANG which is available for download via iTunes or through the new store. Go buy it now!

^^ I remember

That was an awful year which also featured Westlife, a reissue of John Lennon's 'Imagine' and that singing turd from South Park.

The only saviours in that top 10 were Alice Deejay's Back in My Life and S Club 7's Two in a million

Alice Deejay, Artful Dodger, Vengaboys, William Orbit and Wamdue Project

...and you call the Cuban Boys c**p?

This was a fun record - not very good, but by far and away the most interesting at the time. Music in 1999 was horrendous - dance music had been killed by cheesy trance and indie music boiled alive by the spectre of the Verve, Stereophonics and Travis.

Trance is the best music ever. If anything it injected a new life in the dance scene, producing thousands of classics in the late 90s and 00s, and making dance music during 99 and 00 the most popular genre saleswise. Its brilliant, emotional, spine-tingling. C vs I is awful novelty c**p
