Posted May 27, 200718 yr with a rule change and new presenters, what do you think the show is gonna be like? since 14+ y.o. are gonna be able to audition i can imagine 786437826543278 of 15 y.o.'s trying to "rap" their way to the top but fail. they will probably use their phone and play any old instrumental that they made in the school studio  . oh god :o the chavs :( . i think that there will be like 1 14/15 y.o. going into the final but i doubt they will win.
May 27, 200718 yr I think it's awful lowering it down to 14, This years x-factor is going to be shit. It's all changing, but for the worst. -_-
May 27, 200718 yr I really don't agree wiv the lowering of contestant age to 14. That in my opinion is ridiculous and some many young 14 year olds will go through because their parents will come in arguing that they should be put through. Also, how can the auditions be about to start when there has been no official announcement as to who the new judges are. Obviously there has been loads and loads of speculation regarding who they will be but there has been no official announcement from ITV. Even so, regardless if there is one or not, those who audition will find out and then the secret will be out.
May 27, 200718 yr Well I don't think the 14 year old age limit will matter that much to be honest. Unless they're something out of the ordinary then i'd be suprised if anyone between 14-16 went through to the live stages. Deromt being presenter i'm not too sure of. I like the guy and I think he was great on Big Brother, but I dunno whether he'll suit X Factor to be honest.
May 27, 200718 yr one of my friends went to auditions in manchester, i think it was last week or the week before, she audition last year too

The initial auditions are not done by Cowell and co but by producers of the show or something then those that get through those get chosen to go to the auditions that will include Cowell and co

May 28, 200718 yr I think lowering the age to 14 is really quite disgusting tbh... At that age you're really quite emotionally fragile and frankly I wonder if a lot of the more aggressive teenagers are gonna be able to handle rejection or the pressures of the show itself. I wouldn't be at all suprised if we see a tabloid headline stating "14 Year Old X-Factor Reject Kills Self"... IMO, this is a big mistake that could so easily backfire.. Badly...

Badly... not only that but they should be concentrating on school instead of being a popstar
May 28, 200718 yr I hope this series flops and a new show is revived/created that actually focuses on the music and not the gimmics of having big name judges and lowering the age to 14.

Don't bet on it mate Why did Ray go so far last year ? was it cos of talent LOL ? noooooooo he has none it is because he had a cheeky smike and grannies and teenage girls voted en masse for him, he was purely in the series later stages because of his looks not his talent and if there is a 14 or 15 year old this year that can capture the granny vote again then they will make the final Remember that George Formby impersonator that won junior Stars In Their Eyes ? he won because of grannies and one of Britains greatest ever singing potential talents (the Aguilera impersonator) was robbed of her rightful win If there is a 14 year old with a cheeky chappie grin he will get right to the end talent or no talent
May 28, 200718 yr Author If there is a 14 year old with a cheeky chappie grin he will get right to the end talent or no talent so another Ray then :coffee:
May 28, 200718 yr so another Ray then :coffee: Sadly yes, a younger version of Ray who will have little old grannies all over the country going "awwwww Arthur don't that little wee lad remind you of little Timmy I am going to vote for him"
May 28, 200718 yr Remember that George Formby impersonator that won junior Stars In Their Eyes ? he won because of grannies and one of Britains greatest ever singing potential talents (the Aguilera impersonator) was robbed of her rightful win Dont remind me. Its all down to the producers though, they have the final say on songs, clothes, interviews - trust me, i know. They know how they want the singers to be perceeved and that can make a difference between someone doing well on a talent show or not. Edited May 28, 200718 yr by coolnav

Yeah true there, I just felt it was an injustice she was robbed lol as it was one of those rare voices that send a shiver down my spine then to have this little kid give off a few smiles and take her crown sucked
May 28, 200718 yr Yeah true there, I just felt it was an injustice she was robbed lol as it was one of those rare voices that send a shiver down my spine then to have this little kid give off a few smiles and take her crown sucked Exactly, i got to know her well on the show and felt the kid winning was unjust. I also felt the way they handled myself was poor and felt with a better song i could have gone further.

Yeah I remember you saying they vetoed some of the ones you wanted to be :o did she always want to be Aguilera ? When she brings out an album will 100% get it
May 28, 200718 yr Yeah she wanted to be Aguilera all along. And last time i spoke to her, she'd given up music due to her sounding too alike Christina Aguilera. Thats the problem with SITE, if you get noticed as the star your impersonating then it can sometimes ruin the rest of your career. Thankfully i didnt/dont have that problem.
