Pop sensation Christina Aguilera is shooting her first music video for her upcoming album, Back To Basics. The video will be shot with elements from both the '30s swing era and the current day compliments of director Bryan Barber according to Video Static.

 

The album, Back to Basics, is inspired by the soul, jazz and blues music of the ‘20s, ‘30s and ‘40s. Ex- 4 Non Blondes singer and current hot industry collaborator Linda Perry also assisted Aguilera on such tracks as “Candy Man†and “Save Myself From Me,†the latter of which is dedicated to Aguilera’s new husband.

 

Back To Basics will be released on RCA records in the summer of 2006.

YAY im actually excited to see this :o :D

i just cant wait to hear the whole track in a higher quality...

 

i remember hearing the first version of britney's 'me against the music' and thought how $h!te it was but the version she actually released was sooo much better!!

 

on the TRL awards christina did say the songs were actually, raw, unmixed and not been digitally mastered!! so maybe 'aint no other man' could sound alot different, hmmm... :D :wub:

Exactly, I heard a radio rip of Me Against The Music and hated it, but loved the proper HQ version. :wub:

 

Yeah Christina did say the songs weren't ready yet, but was keen to show what she had so to speak, so if we like it raw, we will like it mastered too.

shooting of the video is set to start tomorrow over a 3 day period, 28th, 29th and 30th of April!! expect to see pictures on set fairly soon... :cheer:

 

rumour is in one scene of the video a guy in a white suit in a smoky alley spots christina from distance and falls for her instantly... but afterall it is just a rumour!! :P

The singer had planned to team up with top video director BRYAN BROWN [Thats wrong; its Barber!] to shoot the big-budget promo for AIN'T NO OTHER MAN in downtown Los Angeles this weekend, but the chosen venue will be overrun by immigration protestors. Aguilera and Brown thought they'd found the perfect place for the Cotton Club-inspired video and they're unwilling to let activists fighting for the rights of Latino immigrants ruin their plans - unless it's absolutely necessary. A source says, "At the moment it is all still on for Friday, but we may be forced to change locations because of the big protests scheduled for downtown. It'll be a shame if that happens because we had the perfect place.

apparently the dates are pushed back to 1st, 2nd and 3rd of May...

 

some dancer has posted on his myspace that he has just finished rehersals and the routine is extremely fast!!

Yeah 3 days is really long in terms of a video shoot, I wonder how much it cost to make, it could give us an indication of the quality of the video. ^_^
