Posted May 28, 200718 yr One of the biggest selling of all the 70’s rock groups, originally Linda Rondstandt’s backing band. Although denigrated as AOR conservatives by the end of the decade, they were as hip as anyone when they started. They are one of the US biggest selling album groups. Their greatest hits 71-75 sold more than 28 million in the US alone. With songs like Take it easy, Take it to the limit, Lyin Eyes. One of these nights, Hotel California and New kid in town. Although I was never a huge fan, I did like Lyin eyes and Hotel California (which portrays California as a hedonistic prison) with the great lyric “ You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave” Hotel California - great guitar section at the end (watch out for the weird faces he pulls) IGiZWHL6wD0 Lyin Eyes - for anyone whose been cheated on :( 4sEjajwXDXo
May 28, 200718 yr I liked the Eagles. Hotel California, New Kid In Town, Desperado, One Of These Nights, Tequila Sunrise, Lying Eyes
May 29, 200718 yr Yeah, i like the Eagles, they had some great tracks. Can't fault the Hotel California album, think it's their best and most remembered work. Certainly was a big seller!
May 29, 200718 yr nope.... very uninspiring when you consider the rock that we were producing... aor for the yanks.
May 30, 200718 yr Great band - Hotel California is a great album. I also liked Henleys solo album 'The End Of Innocence' which contains the song 'New York Minute'.
May 30, 200718 yr The Eagles - never could stand them. And I like laid back hippy $h!t usually. Would rather listen to someone like The Jayhawks or some Gram Parsons. And Hotel California is one of the most overrated tunes of all time.
