Singer/songwriter in the 1980’s, I just loved her songs, Marlene on the wall, left of centre and Luka (a song about child abuse).

It needed hiphop act DNA to transform her song “ Tom’s diner” into a dance track which gave her her biggest hit. Her record company were going to sue them but Vega was flattered by their version and allowed it, it reached #2.

An underestimated artist.

Luka -a really sad song

I saw her live at Oxegen a couple of years ago - can't remember much about it but it was pretty pleasant and tonnes better than the f***in' Ordinary Boys playing next door.

I have her Greatest Hits CD, a great singer-songwriter.

She has a new album coming out later to this year which i posted about some weeks ago.

I really love the song 'Marlene on the wall'.

Had a 12" of it on an old cassette , never realised there was a video! Dontcha just love UTube for searching out bands and artists :naughty:

She made one great album.
