May 29, 200718 yr Still havn't got round to seeing that. There are some films that I really wanna see, so far I've got Hostel, Silence Of The Lambs, & The Sixth Sence, dunnow wether they're good or not? "Hostel" is complete garbage.... Just nasty for nasty's sake and no real point to it at all... If you want Nasty with an actual point, then I would point you in the direction of Miike Takashi.... "Audition" is frankly fukkin' terrifying (but you really gotta be patient with it, dont go expecting Japanese films to be like Hollywood ones...), "Visitor Q" is a good un as well.. "One Missed Call" starts out like a "Ring"-type film, but gets more deranged as it goes on, "The Happiness of the Katakuri's" and "Ichi The Killer" are just two of the most fukked-up films you will ever see....
May 30, 200718 yr Hostel's okay, but it's all very cheap and a bit lame in parts and the some of the gore is there just for the sake of it. 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later are both very good horror films though. ^_^
May 31, 200718 yr "a nightmare on elm street" is a pretty good film for what it was back in 1985. it scared the $h!t out of me when i was young too.
May 31, 200718 yr Wolf Creek Good suggestion. I got scared at Valentine when I watched it about 2 years ago lol. Cherry Falls is also good, not that scary though.
May 31, 200718 yr I got scared at Valentine when I watched it about 2 years ago lol. Were you 12 two years ago.....? "Valentine" totally bored the sh!t outta me tbh.... David "Boring-anus" just does not make a convincing psycho IMO...
May 31, 200718 yr Ahahaha Cherry Falls is AMAZING. Just for the fact that it's ridiculous and so random. It's essentially a comedy really!
May 31, 200718 yr Loved Wolf Creek, bit of a boring first half hour but the film scared the living daylights out of me when it got going Didn't like Sixth Sense much tbh but Silence of the Lambs and Hostel well worth seeing Hmm, never seen Wolf Creek before, it's on tonight on Ch4. I might watch it. ^_^ I remember watching the original Amityville Horror when I was a kid, scared the $h!t out of me, as did the second one. Although, I saw the second one not too long ago again and did'nt find it that scarey at all. The remake are embaressing though imo, more like a comedy. And of course The Exorcist , which nearly always gets voted the scariest ever. It does'nt seem anywhere near as bad now though. -_- Also Psycho is an excellent horror. As far as the Ring goes, the Japanese original is a million times scarier than the hollywood remake. The Silence of the lambs is one of my fave films ever, but not hugely scary imo. You should type it into google Josh, and you'll find loads of lists of the scariest films ever. ^_^
May 31, 200718 yr I really don't find the mad slasher type ones at all scary. They are just daft. The ones that scare me are the paranormal type ones. Like The Omen (the original). I remember watching that as a kid and being terrified. The Shining never ceases to scare me too. Anything with ghostly kiddies in fact. I've a thing about ghostly kiddies. Oh and surprisingly enough, I found The Others with Nicole Kidman really scary. I coudn't believe it was only a 12 or 15 certificate. :o
June 1, 200718 yr Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2005 edition, Saw 1 & 2, House of wax, Wilderness, Wrong turn... any of these are good.
June 2, 200718 yr Still havn't got round to seeing that. There are some films that I really wanna see, so far I've got Hostel, Silence Of The Lambs, & The Sixth Sence, dunnow wether they're good or not? Silence of the Lambs is amazing.. Really creepy.. Another one you should watch is Gothika.. That is best thriller in the world... It's amazing You've probably seen the ring? that one's great aswell!! The Hellraiser films are great aswell!!!
June 2, 200718 yr Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2005 edition, Saw 1 & 2, House of wax, Wilderness, Wrong turn... any of these are good. Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2005 - Totally lame MTV retread of a classic horror film... The people who made this were responsible for the cinematic abortion that was "Pearl Harbour".... Saw 1 and 2 - Very good examples of post-Millenial horror.. Recommended... Wrong Turn - Rather dodgy attempt to rip off "Deliverance" and "Southern Comfort", but with laughable "mutants" wearing c**p prosthetics instead of the genuinely scary red-neck locals that were in those other films... Not scary. At all. House of Wax - the 50s version with Vincent Price, Classic. the 00s version with Paris Hilton (  ), utter bilge... Wilderness - Pretty excellent little low-budget Brit Indie flick.... Think of a cross between "Lord of The Flies", "Scum", "Lost", "Cujo" and just about every 'slasher film' you've ever seen, then you're pretty close... And any film with Sean Pertwee is worth checking out anyway....
June 2, 200718 yr I really don't find the mad slasher type ones at all scary. They are just daft. talking about daft Jonathan King's Sheep pic Black Sheep should be out soon
