If you take into account all the CDs UK residents are buying from CDWow and other non-chart qualifiying sites, then album sales in the UK probably aren't even falling, especially if the damages are as high as £41million

I don't know why everyone believes there is such a huge disparity between CDWOW and all of the other places - often their prices are exactly the same as play/HMV.co.uk/amazon/tesco/asda/sainsbury's etc. even if there is a saving on new releases it's usually a quid, not worth it because they take so bloody long to ship. HMV and Virgin may sell their CDs at a BIT of a higher price (like £9.99 instead of £7/8.99) but that's hardly outrageous, and is probably worth paying if you want to see dedicated music stores remain.

CDWOW are only really good for importing CDs and DVDs that you can't otherwise get over here, for new releases and almost all UK CDs, other places are usually just as cheap and post faster.

It is the likes of CD Wow that are keeping Virgin/HMV prices in check mate, the discount resellers go under the cartels will put CD prices back up to £15 again before you can blink

Debatable point. One would imagine the other retails compete among each other also.
