Not really, apart from Ruben Studdard (Series 2, beaten to #1 by the runner-up :rofl:) and Kelly, they've all debuted at #1, so I'm not sure if this is just the week before or if this is the actual full sales :unsure:

 

If it is full sales it says a LOT about AI's popularity these days :lol:

 

 

But the AI single doesn't get alot of airplay, and the chart is based on downloads and airplay now...unlike the other contestant singles...

This year is the first time there hasn't been a physical single by the Idol winner. It's download-only this year. That may partly explain the lower debut.

But CDs sell literally just a handful in the US...its all downloads and airplay...
