Posted May 31, 200718 yr ARCTIC MONKEYS star ALEX TURNER has confessed to a secret crush on R+B star BEYONCE KNOWLES, but fears he will never be able to inspire her with his music. The singer made the admission after the Bootylicious beauty and Shakira pipped his track Brianstorm to the number one spot in the U.K. music charts with their single Beautiful Liar. He says, "Come on. How does a tune like Brianstorm challenge Beyonce? For us to even get near that world with such a strange tune is a good thing. "Beyonce can have the number one. I've always been a fan of hers. I love her." Source: ContactMusic.com
May 31, 200718 yr Hmmm....I think this may be akin to them saying they were going to fly onto the Glastonbury stage. It was clearly a urine take but loads of websites picked up on it as if it was genuine. I think they are just having a laugh with the press, they've always done it. The best one was before the 1st single came out, a Times photographer (he got the job because he said he knew what they looked like!) was dispatched to Sheffield to get some exclusive pics of the band. They convinced him that Matt was the lead singer and so Matt was in the foreground of every shot. Matt's mum (Phoebe) was so pleased her son had been featured so prominently she wrote to The Times to thank the photographer personally and request copies of the pics! Edited May 31, 200718 yr by bellboys
