Britney Spears or Jessica Simpson? Singer/songwriter Rufus Wainwright isn't known for his pop-star duets, but Jane magazine asked him which of the bubbly blondes he'd rather collaborate with and he didn't have to think twice. "Britney, by far," he said in an interview published in the magazine's June/July issue. "I love her. I think she's the emblem of our times."

I've been a fan of Rufus since his third album Want One (back in 2003). I've known that he has been a fan of Britney & dislikes Madonna (and that was before Madge ripped off his Gay Messiah crucifixation stage prop for her last tour on Live To Tell!) for quite some time, so his comments do not surprise me.

Go Rufus! And I wouldn't blame him for hating Madonna, especially if she stole one of my ideas! :o

 

I like Madonna's music, it's phenomenal...but I really am starting to despise her as a person.
