June 3, 200718 yr Newcastle have made a mistake getting rid of Parker and buying Barton methinks. Barton's probably the better player, but he's a loose cannon. I think Chelsea have made a bit of a duff buy in getting Pizarro too.
June 3, 200718 yr Author Parker is FAR superior to Barton in every way [discounting age obv]. I really don't understand what Sam is trying to achieve with this tbh. Methinks he's trying to bolster his reputation of taming the unstable players a bit too much tbh. Tbf though I think Pizarro is a good signing. He was a free transfer who's proven to be a goalscorer in Germany and generally the transition from Bundesliga to Premier League isn't all that rocky so there's no serious doubts of him 'doing a Shevchenko'.

Very much agreed about Parker and Barton, and yeah god knows what Sam is trying to do either. :/ Well I guess if you look at it that way he's a good signing. Germany and England are similar leagues, although the Premiership is a lot stronger league, and true cos he's a free there's no means of him turning into the biggest flop ever a la Sheva. One rumour doing the rounds at the moment is Henry to Barce, which seems pretty plausible to me. One thing all the big 4 clubs need though is another top class striker, and there ain't many of those about, so I think if Arsenal sell Henry it's a bit of bad businnes on their behalf...
June 3, 200718 yr I heard a rumour of Paul Scholes to Sunderland :w00t: But then again, that was a rumour from The Sun i believe
June 4, 200718 yr I heard a rumour of Paul Scholes to Sunderland :w00t: But then again, that was a rumour from The Sun i believe  If you read the papers you will see roy keane has bided for almost all the manchester utd team aparntly.

June 4, 200718 yr Man United have been clever with Nani and Anderson! Nani scored for Portugal on Saturday against Belgium!

Parker (like most of Newcastl'es squad) gets injured about 4 times a season!
June 4, 200718 yr Titus Bramble's gone to Wigan on a free from Newcastle now. Great bit of business on Newcastle's behalf.
June 5, 200718 yr Titus Bramble's gone to Wigan on a free from Newcastle now. Great bit of business on Newcastle's behalf. That's Wigan down next season then for certain :P Shocking player one of worst defenders I have ever seen FAW (Viduka) has signed for Newcastle, good bit of business for them :o he will score for fun next season

June 5, 200718 yr According to a couple of Spurs boards this morning Barton will be joining West Ham WITH Parker Barton's off to Newcastle for sure, or so it may seem now...
June 5, 200718 yr Author They're both still battling it out. Apparently West Ham have the upper hand as they have offered £1m more than Newcastle. Though I wonder WHERE West Ham are getting the money from. It seems like they're buying for GIGGLES N STUFF at the minute.

June 5, 200718 yr Author I thought they were LOSING more than they were gaining with him though. Surely it's logical to cut back a bit and not bid for EVERYONE IN SIGHT? Or have I just completely invented my own story here?
June 8, 200718 yr If Bolton are only signing Villa rejects surely about 13th is the best they can hope for?
