She has put the worse tracklist on it. No wonder it's underperforming.

The buying public wouldn't know that though... :(

It's a shame the album hasnt done better, but at least shes had three successful songs from it, Daylight has done alright really LOL

This was so, so, so, so, so badly handled, that its just sad. And the worse thing is, she is great and her music had so much potential.

 

Ideal single releases for Ms. Kelly...

 

1. Gotsta Go, feat Da Brat

2. Work, feat Fat Joe (US) / Work (Freemasons Remix) (Europe)

3. All On You, feat Lil Wayne (this track was not even included on the album)

 

Re-release, Deluxe edition or whatever:

4. Like This, feat Eve, or maybe Every Thought Is You (Addicted)

5. Still In Love With My Ex, feat Young Texxus

6. H'bibi I Love You, feat. Amine (Europe) / Ghetto, feat Snoop (US)

 

With good videos, promotion, etc, she would have had much success, and I think these releases would have had plenty of support from radio (in the US, the first three at very least would do well). Alot of colaborations, I know, but these are her best songs, so..

Would be perfect! :heehee: I do absolutely ADORE 'Every thought is you', it's probably my favourite album track, but it wouldn't get radio play...

Like This is ok, cool to dance to, but its a bit bland...Daylight is really bland and forgettable...Comeback and Flashback is crappy, bland, and forgettable...LOL

Joshua, Like This is not bland! :o! Some people think Daylight bland but some love it, so it'd make good sense for a 5th single which few people buy anyway :heehee: Comeback is the kind of thing the US would LOVE, but not the UK or Europe...

 

Flashback is :wub: quite old-school sounding! I think it'd do great! I'd have released the album after the 2nd single too, to make sure it got more sales. :D

No need for a re-release. Escpially the songs on the re-releases.

I loved Gotsta Go. ;) It should have been lead single...!

 

Holding album back for after 2nd single would have been good, especially as Ms Kelly's first week sales were better than Kelly's debut anyway.

 

Its just so sad how crappily they've handled this whole project...lets hope they handle Kelly's 3rd album better. And meanwhile, at least the UK and Europe are supporting her, Broken is no "Work" but its better than Daylight and should do fairly well (hopefully boost album sales as well), and consolidate Kelly's status as a big star in Uk/Europe.
