The LP & TV movie “ The Ruttles” : “All you need is cash” are released. The project is a spoof on the career of the Beatles, masterminded by Eric Idle (Monty Python) & Neil Innes( Bonzo Dog Doodah band).

 

The band were Ron Nasty, Dirk McQuickly, Stig O’Hara & Barry Wom. The album reached no. 12 in the charts.

 

The spoof tells how they met, the fifth Ruttle, their manager and Ruttlemania. They make a film called “ A hard days rut”, with songs Rut me do, twist and rut, please rut me. Their second film called “Ouch”. A statement by Nasty that they are bigger than God, is explained as a misquote saying that the Ruttles are bigger than Rod (Stewart). :lol:

 

Their album Sgt Ruttles only darts club band is released. Their downfall starts with the TV film & album The tragically history tour, with songs WC Fields forever & I am the waitress.

 

Their last album Let it rot spells the end. McQuickly sues Nasty & O’Hara, Wom sues McQuickly, Nasty sues O’Hara & Wom, and O’Hara accidentally sues himself. :lol:

 

McQuickly joins the Punk Floyd & releases LP White dopes on punk. :D
