News of more European promo from the OS.

 

 

Will's spending the week in Sweden, France and Italy promoting Keep On there.

 

If he's seemed to have a low profile of late, it's because he's been putting in the hard work doing press interviews to coincide with TV opportunities in Europe though Dutch fans might have enjoyed his performance on Albert TV recently.

 

Any spare time he's got, he's continuing to put together ideas for the autumn tour but don't forget you can get a taster of the live experience at T4 On the Beach on 18th June.

 

Still finding this European promo confusing.

He has had a good night by the looks of it, but he looks very smartly turned out in black :)

Will's been having a fantastic time of late.

 

He managed to get away to Ibiza for a short break and you might have seen him attend the Glamour Awards recently but it's not the only high-profile event he's enjoyed lately.

 

The Prince's Trust's 30th Birthday Concert at The Tower of London on 20th May was particularly memorable. If you weren't able to catch him, he performed All-Time Love, Who Am I and Love The One You're With, the latter with an 18-piece choir which really stole the show. Prince Harry even beckoned for him to come and join them in the Royal Box!

 

He was also able to attend the Beckham's celebrity-filled World Cup Party. The highlights for him were an impromptu performance with James Brown who invited him to join him on Papa's Got A Brand New Bag as well as doing 'the pony' with him and P. Diddy later in the evening. He danced all night and especially enjoyed the bacon sarnies that made an appearance in the early hours!

 

I didnt know he was releasing KO in France :huh:

Will Young is warning dancers on his autumn tour not to wear skimpy undies - because the stage will have a MIRRORED floor. Will, whose sets will include a giant teddy bear, quipped: "They will have to watch that they don't wear thongs or crotchless knickers

Re the radio interview:- I just got this email from X-Pat.

 

Hi, one of the guys just told me that Will is not going to do the interview on KFM (Cape Town radio station) tomorrow morning. He says he’s too busy recording something at Elton John’s house ????? but that he hopes to do the interview sometime next week. Perhaps you could post this somewhere on Devoted if it hasn’t been mentioned. What’s he doing at Elt’s house, do you know?

Oooo! that is very interesting, I read that David Furnesh and Will were talking at the Beckham's party bash, so maybe he got an invite then? :D

Interview went roughly like this:

 

NM: We have the supremely talented and incomparable Mr Will Young. How are you?

 

WY: Very well thank you. I’m in London. It’s lovely and sunny, quite humid.

 

NM: You’re coming back to Cape Town?

 

WY: Yes I’m on my way back, it’s a very alluring place. I’ve been here before shooting a video and at New Year for a holiday, and I’ll be back 3rd November.

 

NM: You sound like you are organized (he said something like that)

 

WY: I’m like Prince Charles, I know what I’m doing 2 years in advance, ‘laughs’.

 

NM: I saw pictures of you in an airforce uniform.

 

WY: Yes I looked very hot, ‘laughs’.

 

NM: Did you fly the plane?

 

WY: No, I could have but when I was told I might be sick I didn’t want to be covered in my own sick. Not appealing ‘laughs’.

 

NM: (said something about over 4 years after Pop Idol).

 

WY: It’s almost 5 years, a long time. Still going, that’s what counts.

 

NM: (asked what he would be doing if he hadn’t entered Pop Idol, would he be doing something normal)

 

WY: I’d be doing something with music, record company or something. Still get into singing or acting.

 

NM: Any negatives?

 

WY: I’m very lucky to do what I’m doing.

 

NM: Do you get harassed when you walk down the street?

 

WY: I rarely get harassed and it’s a small price to pay. I get fulfillment in what I do.

 

NM: We look forward to seeing you. That was Will Young live from London.
