For a man used to squeezing himself into a one-piece PVC outfit for his role as Daffyd, the only gay in the village, it was all pretty tame...

 

But, even so, when Little Britain star Matt Lucas 'married' partner Kevin McGee yesterday, the reception was still an exotic affair.

 

British celebs turned up to the Banqueting Hall in London's Whitehall in a variety of costumes that paid homage to the pre-billed theme of panto.

 

Lucas, 32, looked resplendent as Aladdin, accompanied by McGee in a Prince Charming outfit.

 

There to support his on-screen partner was David Walliams dressed as a spoof Christopher Biggins. Sir Elton John was in attendance as Captain Hook with his partner David Furnish (another Prince Charming).

 

There was perhaps a little embarrassment as chatshow host Paul O'Grady also turned up as Hook... as did comic Vic Reeves.

 

Singer Will Young was a convincing Ugly Sister, and 'Queen of Hearts' Courtney Love squeezed herself into an eye-popping red number that Prince Andrew would surely have approved of.

 

Other stars in view were Babara Windsor, fellow EastEnder Steve McFadden and Reeves' wife Nancy Sorrell.

 

Earlier, wearing a velvet cord suit and rose-coloured tie, Lucas, 32, looked the model of sobriety as he tied the knot with McGee in a low-key civil partnership ceremony at a private club in the capital.

The star of the wickedly funny comedy show Little Britain, Matt Lucas, married his boyfriend, Kevin McGee, in an extravagant wedding ceremony in London over the weekend. And, some of our favorite stars come out in their fancy dress Sunday night to celebrate their commitment and love. Sir Elton John and his husband,David Furnish, ruled the ship.

Pop Idol winner Will Young made a grand entrance. Even in drag he's still yummy! Matt (left) and Kevin are all smiles at their party. Even Queen Courtney Love made an appearance!

It's great that Conor went as an ugly sister as well, :wub: I've just seen the Wenn pics of them leaving and Will's minus his lipstick and shoes (you should have worn party feet Will :lol: ) I missed seeing them on GMTV this morning though as I was rescuing the cat which was stuck behind the xmas tree. :rolleyes:
