Rose has just posted on Devoted that Will is at the MEN tonight with Ashley watching Kylie. They both came from backstage. :) He is in the 5th row of block 115 and is with Ashley...oh,and he's got the black leather jacket on that he's been seen in recently.

Reports from AJ(Abbie) and JH(Jean):

Will and Ashley came out from backstage just before the concert started. He was wearing a short black leather jacket, maybe the one he wore for 'Feel the Noise' years ago in Liverpool. They were in block 115 a few rows up.

 

The cameras were showing audience shots just before Kylie came on, and Will and Ashley were on the big screen. Seemed really happy

 

Later when Kylie did her talky bit after her first two songs and said how she had a cold, she said something like 'I believe Will Young is here' and something about him singing along with some of the songs. Said she didn't know where he was but obviously the camera man did as he appeared on the big screen again. Again very happy and smiley, stood up to bow I think and blew some kisses at Kylie.

 

You could tell Kylie wasn't well. After the first few songs, she went off and stayed off a lot longer than seemed right. After about 6 or 7 songs, she came on and said that the next song would be her last and that she was sorry. I got the impression that she hadn't wanted to cancel the whole show and let people down, so she just did it this way and obviously did as much as she could. Talked to the audience a bit and sang a bit of 'Got to be Certain' then it was the last song - 'Kids' and Danni came on and they did it together.

 

After she had gone off, they announced that she was ill and had lost her voice and that we should keep our tickets and check their website tomorrow and they would see if it was possible to re-schedule the show.

Great night at Kylie even though the Poor Love was poorly and had to cut the show short,what she gave was FAB!!!And I am sure that it was already decided to cut short before the gig after having seen bits on the Tv tonight.I certainly don't blame her as she really should take it easy when she's not feeling well.

We were sat near the bit where peeps from backstage come in and out,and I had a 'is that Ashley,no it isn't him....is it?'I looked over and I said 'Oh Yes it is' and then Carol said 'OMG!!!!!Look who's behind him Well!!!!!!

 

to say we were happy was an understatement He looked lush and him and Ash were very chatty and smiley,he had drinks and nibbles with him

the thing that really made me laugh was when they pan round the audience with the vid camera's to show before the show,Will and Ash seemed SO EXCITED to be on screen Don't you just love them.I do

Really sorry that Kylie was unwell last night, and could only do part of the show. Although they say she has a cold etc, I'm just wondering whether she's come back too soon, as she could be more susceptible to catching things in the aftermath of her treatment. I never even got to see the C.4 footage last night either. :(

That was CatLover who also did the meet and greet at Reigate! Her sister lives in Reigate and went in for a competition to meet Will. Her face when she came out was a picture! :D

Kylie has had to cut last night's show in Manchester short, as she - along with a number of the crew - is suffering from flu. After cutting out one section of the show, and struggling through the 'easier' parts elsewhere, she finally gave in shortly before the interval, tearfully telling the crowd "this is the first time I've ever had to do this in my career". Sister Dannii was on hand, telling Kylie she was an 'inspiration'.

 

In a strange coincidence, last night's problems were happening as Showgirl Homecoming was being broadcast - to great acclaim - on Channel 4, with a show filmed in Melbourne in December. Viewing figures at this stage are believed to have been excellent, for what was a two and a half hour Kylie-fest! Similarly, the Homecoming CD, released last week and due to chart today, looks set to enter the UK album top 10.

 

We are now awaiting details from management as to whether further Manchester shows - the last of the tour - will be cancelled, the next being tomorrow night (Monday). Kylie has commented on previous nights that she was suffering from a cold, but it has since been confirmed that she, and several members of the backstage crew, have flu.

 

Last night's crowd, in general, showed great support for Kylie, and many left in tears. There was some graceless boo-ing after Kylie left the stage, and those who feel truly 'short changed' by the show are advised to contact the ticket agent from where they bought their tickets should they feel they deserve a refund.

 

"It really was emotional" comments Martyn from our forum. "I am truly stunned. When the show kept stopping, I felt really uneasy as I knew it shouldn't."

 

"She was crying and said 'you ever get the feeling you're being watched?'. She said she loved Manchester, and that this was a first, but she has learned to look after herself. She said don't worry, its nothing more than a cold."

 

Sister Dannii attempted to perform Kids with Kylie again last night, and indeed it was after this song that the show was cut. We are also led to believe that Will Young was scheduled to appear to perform Especially For You at the end of the show. If further shows do go ahead, it is unclear as to whether they will both appear again, although it looks likely.

Awwww poor Kylie being booed by a few tactless tossers, :arrr: I've watched the clip of her saying that Will was there, when it showed him up on the big screen he looked so happy. :wub: It was great to hear the crowd go mad for him as well.

Apparently it's being reported by the BBC that Monday and Tuesdays shows are cancelled. Bless her, hope she recovers soon.

Can't see anything from the link - what do I do when I get there? :???: Is it true about Will going to sing with Kylie? - that's something I would love to see. Hope she feels better again soon. And thanks for bringing the piccy over.

Chris Daughtry's "Home" is also in contention to replace Daniel Powter's "Bad Day" as the show's unofficial elimination song, although producers are also looking at a number from Will Young, the original "Pop Idol" winner in England. "We're trying to keep it in the family," Frot-Coutaz said.
