i love these early performance of suerte in early 2002, its when she was doing promo in the latin market before going to the US and worldwide with whenever wherever.

 

both have playback (but on those latin shows they only use playback) what i like about them is she does most of the moves from the video plus with the original song production. i think the choreography was still fresh in her mind she may have just filmed the video cause her hair is blond blond (no roots yet) i think these are two of the best dancing performances she's ever done (notice she's barefoot) she is so stunning to look at and hypnotic!!

WOW :o Those performances are sooooo poppy. Now I see why it was such a shock for Latin people when Shakira came back with Laundry Service when the last thing she released she had been looking like this:

true, but you know with ojos asi she gave the fans a taste of her belly dancing side it was the first time she did it in a video after denying the fans for so long this side of her but then she brought it all out in 2000 with the epic latin grammys performance of OA people went crazy for that and everyone loved it!! (cause i mentioned it i'm going to post it) :D she just continued the belly dancing side with suerte in 2002

 

 

 

True true, but because Ojos Asi was live it seemed very authentic, it's still the good old Shakira we know IMO....Then BAM! Because she's miming on Suerte, the whole look seems really manufactured, and the bellydancing has moved on to more sexual, titillating moves :lol: I think Shakira has found the perfect balance now.

i think so too :hithead: also interesting to mention or maybe not :lol: she met antonio in 1999 and being with him and in love i think had a big effect on her being more womanly, sensual and more confident with her body

Both oufits suck and I think the first one is one of the worst performances ever she looks a bit cheap... like forcing something she isn't. The ojos asi one is art and shakira at her best, she is not forcing anything it flows and her live singing is GREAT.

 

 

btw she didn't deny that side of her she did it on the MTV unplugged but that one was just a ROCKER with something different.
