Someone submitted the following report to rock site, Blabbermouth.net.

"Mark Hunter [vocals] of Chimaira went home today [April 22] for personal reasons but Chimaira stayed in Detroit and played their scheduled show anyway. Byron [Davis] from God Forbid and various members of Chimaira and bands from the tour filled in on vocals. They even pulled a kid from the crowd for 'Pure Hatred' to close their fairly short set." Check out a bunch of short video clips from this very special performance at this location.

Chimaira recently announced their split from longtime label home Roadrunner Records. The band have described the divorce as amicable. "We asked to be let out of the contract and [Roadrunner] graciously agreed to our request," they said in a statement. "We (the band and the label) had not been seeing eye to eye on some key issues and came to a mutual agreement to end our relationship."

What do we make of all this? Having just been dropped by Roadrunner Records in the US, are Chimaira coming to the end of a great career, or is this just a minor setback, or is it nothing at all?

He's another one like the bloke from Avenged Sevenfold who comes across as a complete pillock in interviews.

But... yeah, I quite like them. I think it's cool when they get someone from the crowd to fill in on vocals, Hell Is For Heroes did that when Justin buggered his voice up mid-show once, heh.
