I'm actually pretty sick of both, but historically I have enjoyed SLTS more than ETS...just!
Depeche Mode. SLTS has been overhyped & overplayed to death & Lithium was the best single taken from Nevermind.
While I do love DM, Teen Spirit is one of the greatest singles of all time and I will never get sick of it.
Nirvana killed metal in the '90's, I think, so, I can never give them a yes vote in any poll. I voted for DM, as I still like ETS, but PJ is my top song from DM.

They just killed that bubblegum glam metal like Motley Crue, Poison, Ratt etc. which was definitely needed. Thrash was still going strong . In fact the year Nirvana broke big, Metallica released their most successful album.

Yup, most people agree that killing off the likes of Poison and W.A.S.P. was a good move. The top metal bands like Metallica and Guns n Roses still kept their fanbase, although the latter fell apart by their own means.

My top DM song is probably 'Dreaming of Me'.

im not a fan of depeche mode.... but i still prefer them to nirvana... sorry if its sacrilege but i dont like nirvana! held up as something special, maybe they were, and they were better then all that big hair metal c**p (comming from the uk and growing up with sabbath, purple etc i could never take 80's metal seriously, they were parodying themselves and smacked too much of middle america).... but nirvana never hit the right spot for me. interestingly i do like the foo fighters, whos material in comparison to nirvana is much 'safer'.

DM again... "...Teen Spirit" just got totally over-played and over-hyped.. Nirvana did FAR better songs than that..... "Lithium", "All Apologies" and "About A Girl" being three that spring immediately to mind.....

And I totally agree with Grebo, the "Metal" that Nirvana did kill was the horrendous LA Glam c**k-Rock bullsh!t like Motley Crue, Poison, Tigertailz, etc.... REAL Metal like Iron Maiden, Metallica, etc was relatively unaffected by Grunge, and Nirvana should be credited with giving a different, more edgy breed of Metal like RATM, Tool, Fear Factory and Machine Head a lift up....

I stamd corrected, and thanks for the clarification, as the end of 'hair metal' was a positive step, but, the whole grunge thing will never be my cuppa. * goes insearch of Soundgarden and Alice in Chains cds...*

if this is more funnier than the American Hair Metal book then Nirvana gets my vote

however if if the American Hair Metal book is more funnier than DM gets my vote

however breaking the law vs lets get rocked would be funner than both
