Is there any news on her new album? I'm getting really impatient waiting for it :( Tracklisting? Album Cover? Release Date? Anything? .. It must be soon... the new x factor will be starting in a few months! ... anyway here are a few songs just to remind you how pitch perfect her voice is...

Play.co.uk have got the album down for release on 10th Sept but whether thats actually true or not I don't know....no tracklisting or cover or anything like that yet unfortunately :(

You're the naive one! Do you understand how much Simon loves her, he ain't gonna let her go to waste! and shes signed a massive deal in the US, of course shes gonna released another single.

If Simon loved her as much as you say then she'd have followed up her last single in February / March etc. with a quick album out at Easter time.

 

They know the album could have gone to number one but it wouldn't hang around the charts for long.

 

He doesn't give a $h!t cos he's too busy pushing his 'Got Talent' shows either side of the Atlantic and making preparations for the next series of the X Factor.

 

I have nothing against Leona - I hope she's the one that's instigating the delay by ditching Simon's stooges that are looking after her and getting a bonafide manager, label and team that will promote her properly. Look elsewhere on Buzzjack, we've been discussing the fact than Will Young has managed to survive BECAUSE he got out of his crappy Pop Idol contract in good time.

The reason why they didn't want to release an album so fast is because they want to make a decent one..

Well I hope her album is good and does well for her, it would seem an awful pity to let her talent go to waste.

Erm...well the whole reason Simon is taking his time with her first album is because he is going to launch it WORLDWIDE including the US! So he doesn't want it to be the usual ballads and rushed....because that would simply flop especially in the US. Therefore, he has got her to work with some top producers like Dallas Austin who has worked with Sugababes, Kelis, Madonna, P!nk, Anastacia, TLC and many more! :D

Plus Leona said herself that it is not an album full of covers and has so many great uptempo tracks and Ray Quinn said it's quite Rnbish. :D

 

And I think you will find Simon is putting in a lot of money into this project because he loves Leona and thinks she will be huge...which she will be! :D (But I think he fancys her :kink:)

It's actually only been 6 months since she won, I'm not a fan so I'm not bothered, but for her fans it probably seems a long time, the year Will was away before he returned with FC was awful and seemed much longer, but he was still busy doing gigs in Italy etc, I think it's more noticable with Leona because she hasn't really performed anywhere apart from the X-Factor tour? There's going to be a glut of X-Factor winners around from September through to Christmas, Shayne, Leona and the new winner all releasing singles and albums within weeks of each other.

Simon has predicted many of his favs will be huge but as yet none of his predictions have materialised. He may be backing Leona now but if she fails to make it big pretty quick he will write her off as he has with the rest. For now she will receive Simon's backing as long as she remains his puppet.

This debut album won't even be a success in the UK, let alone any future albums doing well or any worldwide success. It's been ages since she won, everyone's forgotten about her, and there'll be soon be a load of other identical X Factor contestants in the charts. Considering Leona isn't that photogenic, doesn't have much of a distinctive voice and doesn't have much of an obvious personality, she won't be able to stand out from the crowd. She's over.

FULL TRUTH mate.... Leona is nothing but a Karaoke Mariah.... Sure, she has a "nice" voice and all, but frankly, nothing distinguishes her from all the other 'divas' with "nice" voices, and she doesn't even have the sort of character of someone like Aguillera or Carey, or even Kelly Clarkson, to set her apart from the herd... Nah, bit of a damp squib, nothing to see here..... Americans wont buy it, there's already LOADS of her sort out there already....

 

She'll be dropped inside a year....
