Really? Has that just happened? Because in an interview in a mag out this month she said it isn't quite finished and she won't rush it out as she wants it perfect.

The label boss of IDJ plus the executive producers have confirmed that the album will be released on the 20th. ;)

Well personally I don't see it happening. :P She'd be a fool to release around the same time as Britney (though god knows what'll happen there), Kylie, Celine and Alicia.

Well Mariah's main focal point is the US, and of those you named the only one I can see scuppering Mariah's plans is Britney. Celine and Kylie aren't that big in the US, Alicia Keys is but I don't see her being a problem for Mariah. :P

 

If Mariah's main market was Europe I would say she was going to lose a hell of a lot of #1's to Kylie, but Mariah's chances of scoring a #1 across all of Europe are slim to none, the US however is different. ^_^

i suppose her album could get quite good sales though she will just have to settle for a lower position ;)

Lol Kelly, I hate disagreeing with you :(

 

In the US, the hype around Alicia is huge beyond belief. She just scored herself rave reviews with her VMA gig and 'No-One' is heading up the charts. I can imagine she'll grab the better sales this year if they were both to release.

 

Mariah is in a very odd position. Her last album was incredibly big, but before that she was considered 'over'. She's at that stage now where the comeback has to be done perfectly - hot song, brilliant promo and well timed. She'd do better to leave it until December at least.
