She'll never get an optional forum here as she hasn't been around for long enough etc, but it'd be used alot if she did get one! I can't wait for the video, has it been filmed yet? I hope that the album gets released in the UK/USA/OZ and then some european countries such as germany/france/spain/holland etc and shayne ward did well in asia so i'm sure leona could copy this success there.

Russ HAS got a point though. To be honest, WHO KNOWS if Leona will sell in Uk, or US. The US might not accept her at all.

I'm worried that she will do badly but she if she has good songs she will do fine... i mean lily allen was accepted in america.. that is a shock! Leona has simon's backing, i can't imagine him letting her fail as he REALLY like her, more than any talent show winner before.

I don't think Leona will sell 8-10 million at all. Maybe 3 - 5 million if she's a worldwide success.

People are saying the album is amazing and every track on the album could be a single.

 

The key to it all is 'Bleeding love' taking off on US radio, If that happens, the rest will be history.

And unluckily for Gareth he didn't have the media backing that one or two others have enjoyed when releasing. It makes such a difference to sales if you can somehow get the DJ's with clout in your pockets. Something which I'm sure we'll all agree, has very little to do with talent these days ;)

Well, J's just posted & cleared it up (again) on her official forum.

 

Dear Fans, I have felt compelled to come on here and let you guys know the truth. As you all should know, I am an extremely outspoken individual and will say it like it is. But one thing you should know for sure is that I'm not unnecessarily bitchy. Yes, I say things that are close to the bone, but I never have or will say disgusting things about people without just cause.

 

Which brings me on to a recent "interview" I had with 'The Poor Man's Eva Simpson' - Dominique Hines of the Star Magazine. In the interview, I was asked a series of ill thought out questions, most of which were to lure me into saying headline making comments about other celebs. Yes, to some of those questions I made some bitchy comments - none of which were about Leona Lewis. This 'journalist' wasn't happy with me being nice about Leona, so she had to make **** up so her piece was more interesting & so it could then be regurgitated in the tabloids as gospel. Well I was going to sit back and do nothing, but she did the same thing to me the last time and I'm not standing for it. Certain people in the media find it hard to write a nice, positive story. Certain people are not content with artists showing each other love and appreciation. Some people are afraid that an artist thinks it's okay to co-exist in the music industry. Some people are only happy when cross words are fired. Well **** it, it's so not gonna happen.

 

The facts are, I think Leona is amazingly talented. I don't understand why she didn't have a record deal already. I think Simon made the right choice and I don't think I even have to say it, but it's obvious she will be enjoying success for years to come and i will be buying all of her material! I don't dislike her. In all honesty I don't even know her, but iI do know talent when i see it.

Its amazing how it's so easy for some journalists to just make **** up. This girl just invented so many "quotes". We've asked her to produce the tape & now she's vanished off the face of the earth - go figure! usually I leave it and don't react, but it really p*sses me off. They're pathetic.
