Why slate her, because of her voice? She dosn't have a bad voice does she, so whats there to slate about her?!

I think its pathetic how long its took to make her album, it doesnt take 8 months surely, people are forgetting about her now so her first single will

have be amazing to make the top 10.

I think that what your said there is pretty pathetic, have you ever heard of someone who is working with top producers and is trying to produce a very good album for the UK and US is in just 8 months? I mean even Rihanna takes a full year! :lol:

Rihanna had one hit single with her first album and then came back a year later with a more successful album. So Rihanna wasn't exactly so successful to record and release an album in a year, so I think you are wrong there because with her first album she wasn't major or huge.

 

You are expecting dull covers? If she was to release an album full of dull covers, she could release it under three months but is taking her time to ensure they are not dull covers...she is writing her own tracks. ;)

 

I highly doubt she will flop, but time will tell.

There's not a snowball's chance in hell that Leona will flop with her first album. It's being launched globally for a start and the money that Simon Cowell will pump into that promotion will know no bounds. She will be on every available TV show, every magazine and newspaper in the country. Even if people have forgotten her now, they won't be able to avoid her once promotion kicks off. :lol:

 

I don't think there's been a tv talent show winner that has truly flopped with their first releases, they're a given, it's the second, third and subsequent ones that really determine if the've found a star or not.

Its usually takes people as long and longer to recored an album anyway.

There is obviously something really special about Leona for it to take this long to release the album

usually, the albums is rush released while the x factor is still on a high.

Leona won X-Factor over 7 months ago, and what is she doing? STILL WRITING, RECORDING AND PRODUCING HER ALBUM. Does that mean it's going to be an album full of ballads and covers? NO WAY! So stop making up assumptions about Leona, just because other Reality-Flops have done the same, dosn't mean Leona will follow in there footsteps. She's signed up to Clive Davis as well for gods sake, does that mean FLOP to you? If she somehow manages to flop with this album, there's no way that Clive will let her go in a click of a finger.

 

She's here to stay for many more years I'll tell you all that. ;)

We can't get any info about her from official channels but we have been in contact with several producers in the states including the one who's blog was posted further up the thread.

 

They are all adamant that no ones seen anything like her for years and they are all completely blown away by her, they are saying her album contains some tracks we would not expect from Leona and they are convinced it is going to be a worldwide hit.

 

Clive Davis is so convinced, they are spending $1million just on the launch campaign, she is also going to be on all the magazines covers in the states as well as here.

its mad how many people are worked up about her, no-one has even gave her a chance yet, save your judgements until the album is released

I do wonder how well her album will actually do when its finished. Dont get me wrong, I think its a good thing they are taking their time to produce this album rather than releasing it quickly like they have done with alot of other artists. However, by the time she releases another x factor series will be well under way and the spotlight will be on the next pre-winner. I hope she does well though cos she has got an amazing voice.

Good point, I guess there isn't a release date as yet? My guess is, it will be mid-November for the single and end of November for the album.

Yes, I'll certainly reserve my judgement until I've heard new material of hers. When I saw her on the X-Factor, I really thought she has potential, though sometimes it was more warbling than emotion, but at other times she hit the spot.

The X Factor champion, who has been laying down tracks with Janet Jackson’s long-term collaborators Jam and Lewis recently, met the rap superstar while they were working in the same Hollywood recording studio.

 

The musical pair are said to have bonded over a shared passion for British rock bands Keane and Coldplay.

 

An insider told DS: "Leona was bubbling with excitement as she is a huge fan of Kanye’s and she really enjoyed being able to have a chat with him. She told friends how sweet he was afterwards."
