I didnt like the tone of this. Interview - Headed on staying mates with Will Young and, ERM - Darius - I meet with WY every so often for a pint. Do I still see Darius too - Oooh NO.

why should he? Darius is a world apart from those two, I would be more suprised if they were friends to be honest, they don't seem to be the sort of people to ineract in real life apart from running into each other at events, or such like.

Of course he's mates with Will, they practically lived in each others' pockets for about a year after PI. As far as the media were concerned those two were almost as much a duo as Ant 'n' Dec. Darius was persona non grata with W&G's "people" because he refused to toe the line, so although their paths crossed occasionally, they would never have been allowed to spend any time with him.

 

Gareth's just trying to stir up interest for the release of AOMS tomorrow. Who knows.......some tabloids may prefer the "I hate Darius "line more than the other "confession." Shame the Mirror insisted on calling the single "Changes".

 

Right now IMHO Darius is doing absolutely great and no throwaway comments by anyone will hurt him.

 

It won't stop me getting Pictures of the Other Side.

I think it's the media trying to stir. Darius lives in LA, Gareth in the UK. They are not in positions to just meet up at all. Their lives have gone in very different directions and have done since the end of the PI tour. I certainly don't see it as a negative for either of them.

Gareth does not hate Darius, he just answered to the question does he meet him with a no, which is not surprising seeing that Darius lives in US and is real busy.

The paper made it more then it was meant to be, (as they tend to quite often).

exactly, press interviews are much like a tape recording when its edited to make it sound quite different form the original by leaving bits out!

Tkank you all for not immediately jumping to the conclusions they wanted to portray in that article. I'm sure they put their own slant on what Gareth said. Its obvious their paths don't cross now, living in two different countries.

Sadly time beat me today and I couldn't risk missing my train, so it's in the car at 9.45 tomorrow and down to the shopping centre for HMV opening. Darius (and Natasha) today. 2 brand new songs from Gareth tomorrow. Happy days!

Sounds like the Hyde Park Calling concert was a great success for Gareth. Hopefully a lot of prejudices will have been binned and lots of the audience will at least give Pictures Of the Other Side a good listen and buy the album or download some of the tracks.

Gareth was fantastic yesterday at Hyde Park and he got a good reception. Lets hope some of the people will be interested in his album.

Has anyone listened to Gareth's album. Wondered what your opinion was :D

I haven't bought it yet.

 

I'm still deciding whether I'm going to go to his signing at my local Asda on Friday or just settle for buying the album in HMV.

I'm going to the signing on Saturday. Apparently Gareth has a very bad throat. He told everyone today, he's been dosing up on hot water with Honey and Lemon. I hope he doesn't lose his voice altogether :o

I forgot. It did say signing and performance on the notice I saw at the front door today.

 

I watched the youtube Lost in You (?) which someone posted in another bj forum. I liked the sound of it but I could only clearly make out those words and a couple of others. Presumably that was just someone's phone and the album version is much clearer.
