February 6, 200817 yr Any idea what the theme is this week and/or what new moves they will all be expected to incorporate into their routines? I'm glad for her own sake that Aggie went last week.
February 6, 200817 yr She was very brave, but really not supple enough at her age to take on such a challenge and she was always in danger of injury. Am I right in thinking there have been more injuries during this series. I seem to rember reading about Linda Lusardi during rehearsals, wasn't Samantha in trouble a couple of shows ago, Michael Underwood had to quit, Suzanne had damaged her ribs last week. Have I missed any?
February 6, 200817 yr I cant recall, I know there seemed to be reports in the paper last series of this and that injury, but the contestants always seemed manage to dance in the show.
February 6, 200817 yr Any idea what the theme is this week and/or what new moves they will all be expected to incorporate into their routines? I'm glad for her own sake that Aggie went last week. No news yet as to what the routine will be or the music, but they have put a hilariously funny backstage video up on the ITV site if anyone would like to watch. Click on the Jazzy Gaz bit down the left hand side :D http://www.itv.com/Entertainment/reality/d...eo/default.html
February 6, 200817 yr Thanks, val4jadan. I would have liked to see that, but I got "we have detected that your video player is not set up to receive this content" or something. I don't want to get involved in diagnostics. every time I try to do anything technical on my computer,it's a disaster. I can't remember changing any settings since I played Darius's interviews on the GMTV site. You'd think ITV'swould be pretty much the same. Just don't let Gareth wear pink! He's dark like Darius and would probably suit it, but someone told me a few of the evictees were wearing pink.
February 6, 200817 yr Yes, they were. I've been praying myself that they don't put him in pink, even though he'd look fantastic in it  I don't think its just you Baytree. Lots of people are having trouble accessing the ITV site. Fortunately for me, I can get on there fine. There have been lots of lovely videos of Gareth on there. February 6, 200817 yr Not Gareth, but of interest I'm sure, news of Zoe, who's doing brilliantly. She's about to lead a tour and it isn't her first, I know. She has found her niche after being IMHO treated shabbily after PI. She was no more a teen idol than Darius. Who says reality TV can't find stars? - PI and the first Fame Academy found them, it's just no-one knew what to do with them. ............................................................................................................................................................................ There's a great line-up this Friday for the Kit Kat Klub at Piccadilly's swanky Pigalle club. Ahead of her lead role in the West End Rocks tour, Zoe Birkett takes to the stage with a selection of her favourite late night classics. We Will Rock You's Jon Boydon presents a selection of songs from Richard Beadle's new musical Today is my Day. Don't miss it! And regulars Amra Faye-Wright (Chicago) and Steph Nielson (West Side Story) complete the line up with their selection of sultry swing hits. Our DJs play jazz, soul and funk until the early hours of Saturday, so why not make a night of it and end the week in style? Kit Kat Klub Friday 8 February, from 10.30 pm The Pigalle Club 215 Piccadilly
February 6, 200817 yr I'd like to see Zoe again. I don't remember seeing West End Rocks on the programmes for the Kings or Theatre Royal. I must check out The Royal Concert Hall, the Pavilion, the Clyde Auditorium. I can't think where else it would be.
February 7, 200817 yr This doesn' sound good Gareth's Ice Woes Gareth Gates has got the dancing bug... And it's making him sick. Because, reports the Daily Mirror, he and fellow Dancing On Ice contestant, Greg Rusedski, have been struck down with an undisclosed infection. The paper says both stars are unable to train. A source told them: "Gareth and Greg both became poorly yesterday and we're all crossing our fingers they recover for Sunday. "Sometimes it lasts 24 hours, sometimes three days, and leaves you feeling very weak. "It's important we stop anyone else going down with it. We're doing everything possible to keep contestants apart so they can't cross-infect." All sounds very serious, what can this mysterious illness be? Well, we hope Gaz and Greg have a speedy recovery.
February 7, 200817 yr Poor guys. I hope it's just a 24 hour thing. Do you remember Gareth had to be hospitalized once with a mystery bug shortly after he'd come back from the Far East. he recovered from that fairly quickly.
February 7, 200817 yr Its rotten luck for both Gareth and Greg. I'm hoping its been exagerated by the press and that its perhaps only a 24 hour thing, but if its not then I'd rather he didn't skate rather than risk injury through feeling ill or weak because of the bug :( :( That's great news about Zoe, she was always my favourite female in PI and I think she deserved better than she got at the time. February 7, 200817 yr I know the programme goes out on Sundays but do they actually skate on Saturdays? If so it doesn't give them much time.
February 7, 200817 yr I hope they are both well soon. I think it is supposed to be live BT fingers crossed as that gives them an extra 24 hours.
February 7, 200817 yr Its definitely live on Sunday, but they do have a dress rehearsal on the Saturday. Not sure what to believe about this. There's been no word on Gareth's site about how ill he is
February 7, 200817 yr I found this on the ITV dancing on ice news:- Yes, there's a dark cloud hanging over the ice following reports that some of our male skating stars are feeling under the weather. Having rocked the rink in the Broadway show, crazy cross-dresser Chris is suffering from a sore throat, as fitting training around a jam-packed filming schedule has started to take its toll. And elsewhere, run down spandex king “Gareth Skates” actually missed a day's training yesterday - that’s what you get for wearing next to nothing on an ice rink in the last live show, young man! We can reveal however, that whilst this peaky pair have been flagging of late, they are currently rehearsing their routines and will be fit to perform on Sunday. We are also relieved to report that whilst the former tennis ace - known affectionately to us as Greg “Rhythm” Rusedski - was not his usual 007 self last week, he is back on fighting form for week five. And the same goes for Olympic star Steve, who understandably started to flag after surviving two terrifying skate-offs. Phew!
