It's good to see him in something like this. Doing the 10th anniversary of Chicago brough Darius to people's attention - this may do the same for Gareth.

Any news on Gareths show?

Its not exactly Gareth's show, lol but he is taking part and its on the 6 July. We have to wait and see what happens afterwards. There are bound to be some people from theatre present, and on Gareth's website it says he will be busy this year.

So here's hoping. :dance:

Soho Cinders sounds like a new version of Cinderella. Maybe Gareth will be the handsome Prince. If it's a sung through musical without long dialogue, Gareth will be brilliant.

 

However, I'd worry about him not getting enough exercise practice to control his stammer if he was doing 8 shows a week with a challenging acting role.

 

But the PI guys have a habit of rising to more and more varied and difficult challenges and taking them in their strides.

 

There was to be a new version of Sleeping Beauty which was apparently only loosely based on the tale. Duncan james did the workshop for it. bruno langley was supposed to open in it in Dublin a month or so ago but sadly it too fell through because money people backed out.

They managed to keep it relatively secret. A few people knew but everyone respected their wish to keep it quiet until after the event. Looking forward to seeing some pictures now :heart:

Aw that's wonderful! I'd read that on DS but I was waiting for confirmation from a reliable source. I'm so pleased for them. They seem like such a well matched couple. I'm so glad they had the wedding they wanted and that the press didn't intrude.

Well, we think there may have been some kind of magazine deal, but at least the date and venue weren't splashed all over the tabloids, giving everyone the opportunity to turn up on the day.

Belvoir Castle was used in the filming of the Da Vinci Code.......it was used to represent the Pope's summer residence,

the Castel Gandolfo.

I saw the Da Vinci Code but I can't recall much of it now and that scene is a complete blank in my mind. I'd read the book first and I think I spent the whole film with the thought in the back of my mind that this wasn't at all how I'd imagined the hero or any of it. The book seemed much more compelling than the film.

 

I wonder where Gareth and Suzanne will honeymoon.

When I watched the film, it struck me that if I hadn't previously read the book, I would have been somewhat confused.

Gareth is listed to play for the England team in the September Soccer Aid.......a football match to raise money

for UNICEF, to be aired on ITV. Robbie Williams has had to withdraw (as captain) with an injured knee.

Its all happening for Gareth at the moment. In the last month Gareth has taken part in three Charity events. The West End appearance, a golf tournament in the Algarve and now Robbie's Soccer Aid at Wembley. So far the events have raised lots of money. Fitted in around his wedding, he's been a busy man.

I'm smiling now. You've just reminded me of the Spa bit on PI when they were having a go on a driving range and when Darius and Gareth were playing that giant chess. IMHO, that's what is missing from X Factor, the contestants just having fun together.
