December 2, 200816 yr Thanks Sue. :D Just wanted to say sorry to all Darius fans for suddenly getting the post about Gareth which had been moved from the pop section. You must have wondred what was going on. Not sure if the mod who done it got confused with Gareth and Darius. :blink:

December 3, 200816 yr Gareth'll be fabulous. I know you know it, but you'll still be nervous for him until you actually see him there in front of you. I felt like that for Darius in Chicago because he was going from solo singer who roamed the stage and made it up as he went along, to performer in a tightly directed show with a busy cast and he had to act and keep up an accent as well. When I went to see Guys and Dolls it was the Havana scene which scared me with that tango. I love first nights. They're never the best performances because the actors always grow in confidence and put more of themselves into the show as time goes on, but the atmosphere is just fantastic. I also love last nights although they leave me feeling sad that I won't see the show again.
December 3, 200816 yr Especially with GWTW. Cinderella isn't running for long but then he has Joseph. It is great for him.
December 3, 200816 yr Horses for courses. Darius would have been a dreadful fit for that role. Once, after PI, he would have been a great Pharoah though, but back then he had only one driving ambition - to have his own songs recorded. Gareth is a thoroughbred primed for the perfect course.

December 4, 200816 yr You are so right, Gareth is very determined and works hard in everything he does. I have to let you know on Sat, how it was. I am really pleased he is going for musical theatre now, he does what he loves, performing and singing. Cant be bad.
December 6, 200816 yr Hi Meghan, I loved it, did not know what to expect but it really was brilliant. :wub: Gareth was fantastic, his speech was fine, and his acting was good, even his dancing, lol And he sang 4 songs and his voice was as usual fantastic. He got huge cheers when he come on stage each time and when he left. The cast were really good too, and it was so funny in places, we were in stitches. :dance:

He was asked to hide the crystal slipper under his chair and then bring it on stage. He was absolutelu thrilled to meet Gareth. Our 13 yr old just wants to see it again. It was a very traditional panto - which i'd much rather have. Gareth's voice in 'Heaven' was truly outstanding. Louise Dearman, I didn't even recognise from 'Guys and Dolls' but before i remembered, I couldn't help but feel her voice and acting to be fantastic. The girl who played Cinerella seemed very nice but just wasn't in the same league. Butttons was great fun and the kids loved booing and jeering at the ugly step sisters. A really good family night out. I'd recommend it.

December 9, 200816 yr Of course you can. I always keep a very small, very old camera in my handbag. When he was asked to go up, I just got the camera olut, put the flash on and took some pics of him. I think everyone understood that somethings you just have to do.
