March 1, 200817 yr I had a quick google and found this post, which was a reply to a fan's enquiry to braehead, Glasgow Hi, I'm afraid that due to the availability of suitable venues, the tour will not be coming to Scotland this year. Please accept my apologies for any disappointment caused. Regards Thomas Brook That's shocking, if it's true. Is it this thing where the impression is that Scots only vote for Scots, so with Aggie being the rep. this year it wasn't worth booking venues in Scotland? When will they ever work out that Scots vote for a range of people in reality shows for a range of reasons like the rest of the people in the UK? It really irks me when everyone starts moaning about the supposed clout of the Scottish vote when a Scot does well - if everyone including just born babies voted, we'd still have less than 1/10th of the votes of the rest of theUK.
March 1, 200817 yr They do the same to England though. There are at least as many people like D in England, but , as he's a Scot, we can't poosible want to see/hear him.
March 1, 200817 yr Well that's just the extension of the "Scots only care for Scots" train of thought, isn't it? Only a few Scots ever seem to break through that media barrier- Billy Connelly from many other comedians who were IMHO far more versatile, Ewan McGregor no more talented than Alan Cumming who is grossly underrated - errr David Tennant maybe but only because of Doctor Who.
March 1, 200817 yr And how wrong can they be? I don't think KT gets a fair hearing either. She's probably the best female from our island.
March 2, 200817 yr I'm really looking forward to seeing the whole show - both parts - tonight, for once!
March 2, 200817 yr Gareth was really good tonight. But I was disappointed that Zaraah was in the skate off again I thought they were really good tonight.
March 2, 200817 yr Didn't he do well tonight. The best routine he's done I think and probably the best of the night. Was for me anyway. I'm so thrilled for him :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
March 2, 200817 yr From now on, I think it would have to be purely performance based. They're all very close. I don't really want to see anyone go. I don't think there's a runaway public favourite.
March 4, 200817 yr I missed the result show, as usual - was it greg that went out, his routine was his best, but it was still not so good! Chris really is exceptional on the ice.
March 4, 200817 yr Chris is but he's so used to the ice, it gives him an advantage. It was time Greg went out.
March 4, 200817 yr I think Chris being a young fit man used to ice hockey has no fear at all of the ice, most wouldnt have even attempted that triple? whatever axel last week, and that fearlessness reflects in his routines.
March 4, 200817 yr For people who had never been on the ice before, nevermind playing a game like ice hockey, I think the others have come on further than he has, Chris has just swapped sports. Suzanne is a dancwer and that shows as well. While I think they both do really well, I think Gareth has done so much better.
